The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), under the leadership of the Chief Resilience Officer, Dr. Folayinka Dania, on Wednesday hosted Top Management Officers across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) at a sensitisation workshop themed “Managing Change and Uncertainty.” The workshop focused on strengthening leadership capacity, promoting resilience, and equipping officers with practical strategies for navigating change and uncertainty in today’s dynamic work environment.
Key insights and takeaways from the session include:
🔹 Dr. Folayinka emphasised the importance of resilience and adaptability in sustaining institutional growth and effectiveness amidst rapidly evolving challenges
🔹 The programme helped management officers develop skills for leading teams through uncertainty and building institutions capable of responding to emerging disruptions.
🔹 Mr. Kehinde Yusuf, a retired Director in the Lagos State Public Service, delivered a presentation on managing change and uncertainty, sharing practical experiences and valuable insights on leadership, adaptability, and organisational effectiveness
🔹 Mr. Ibereayo Amoo (Coach IB) of Eloquence Hub facilitated an experiential session focused on teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking.
🔹 Other presentations focused on the Lagos Resilience Strategy (LRS), aimed at promoting a more efficient, enterprise-driven, and inclusive Lagos
🔹 Participants described the programme as impactful, noting that the sessions were both practical and inspiring.
🔹 Dr. Dania expressed appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his support towards resilience initiatives and his commitment to sustainable growth and development in Lagos State
The workshop concluded with renewed commitment from participants to apply the lessons learned towards improving leadership effectiveness, promoting adaptability, and strengthening resilience within their respective MDAs and the Lagos State Public Service at large.
