Strengthening sustainability reporting across government institutions is directly aligned with the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget’s mandate of driving strategic planning, performance management, fiscal sustainability, and accountable governance in Lagos State.

I was pleased to participate in the Executive Sustainability Reporting Strategic Alignment Meeting convened by the Office of Sustainable Development Goals at the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget.

The session focused on integrating sustainability reporting into planning, budgeting, policy coordination, risk management, and service delivery across government institutions — all critical components of effective governance and sustainable development.

It was insightful engaging with Dr. Rabiu Olowo (ES/CEO, ); HC (); SA .a.emmanuel (Blue Economy); ; SA .thelb (MEPB); SA (Media & Publicity); Engr. Abimbola Akinajo (MD, ); Dr. (GM, ), alongside Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Agencies, Directors, and other stakeholders committed to advancing sustainable governance in Lagos State.

I commend Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih (), Special Adviser to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, for driving this important initiative and for her continued commitment to institutional sustainability and strategic collaboration.

Congratulations to Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on his emergence as the APC flagbearer for the 2027 Lagos gubernatorial election. The turnout of our members yesterday was a clear demonstration of party unity and strength.

The presidential primaries are next. I call on all APC members to come out en masse and support our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for a well-deserved second term.
