A victim of police brutality recounted his ordeal with officers of the Nigerian Police:

“This is the picture of the police criminal gang leader who intercepted me at Ajao junction on Wednesday morning being 22nd of April, 2026 while going to work at exactly 05:55am. I saw a colleague by name Comrade chinedu .

As i cleared to pick him up, they double crossed me with korope bus without reg number. They forced my colleague out of my vehicle and forcefully collected my key from me and pushed me to the back seat and three of them jumped inside my vehicle all dressed in police uniform, well armed and one on mask.

They drove off and turned under NAHCO bridge and headed towards Mile 2. On getting to Cele express, they cleared before the bridge and forced me to transfer the sum of 200k into a named first Bank acct and this transfer was made at gunpoint at exactly 6 29am.Immediately they confirmed the alert, they all jumped down from my vehicle and fled into their korope and zoomed off towards Mile 2.

Attached below is the receipt of transaction and the picture of their leader. I reported the incident at the police station, showing them the picture of the gang's team lead but the Nigerian police force has not been forthcoming in their investigation.”

BREAKING: Peter Obi DUMPS Coalition Again — Parts Ways with ADC After Just Months

In a surprising turn of events, Peter Obi has once again stepped away from a political coalition, this time exiting the ADC after only a few months of alignment. The unexpected move has stirred fresh conversations across the political landscape, as many supporters and observers try to make sense of yet another shift.

In what appears to be a decisive and immediate action, Peter Obi leaves ADC, signaling the beginning of yet another search—this time, for a more stable and peaceful political platform that aligns with his vision and principles.

In a message shared across his social media handles today, Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, he addressed the public regarding his decision. His message is as follows:

“Fellow Nigerians, good morning.

I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.

Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.

We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.

More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.

We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.

Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.

Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.

However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.

Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.

And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.

There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?

Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.

Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.

A new Nigeria is POssible.”

What is your take on this?

Is the ADC now becoming compromised or no longer a comfortable ground for the Obedients’ leader, or is this simply a strategic move to avoid going head-to-head in party primaries with other political heavyweights?

Kindly share your thoughts in the comment section.

“Obi’s love for the North is hypocrisy” — Sowore

AAC’s 2023 presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore isn’t buying Peter Obi’s new comments on the North.

Obi, now with the ADC, recently called the North Nigeria’s greatest asset and said he’d focus on developing the region.

But Sowore fired back, saying Obi repatriated northerners when he governed Anambra State. That’s hypocrisy, he argued.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON WALE EDUN’S EXIT

In times like this, it’s easy for half-truths to gain ground and for loud voices to drown out simple reality. The conversations surrounding Wale Edun lately have taken a turn that says more about our political climate than the man himself.

Let’s be honest—every shift in government today is quickly dressed up as scandal. Accusations fly, narratives are manufactured, and before long, people begin to treat speculation as fact. But not every development is rooted in corruption or crisis, no matter how badly some quarters want it to be.

From what is quietly understood, this situation leans more toward personal and health-related considerations than anything remotely tied to wrongdoing.

Public service, especially at that level, is demanding—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sometimes, stepping back is not a fall from grace, but a necessary decision for well-being.

We all witnessed it when this man flew to the United Kingdom for medical attention some months ago.

So many things happened, even they’re not loudly explained to the public. But instead of allowing room for empathy or understanding, the opposition machinery quickly fills the silence with suspicion.

That, unfortunately, is where we are.

But we must learn to read between the lines. Not every quiet exit is due to corruption, incompetency or any form of scandal. Not every change is a purge. And certainly, not every public figure deserves to have their name dragged through the mud in the absence of facts.

Wale Edun’s role in shaping economic policy remains part of the broader story, but this moment should remind us of something deeper—that behind every office is a human being.

One who feels pressure, carries responsibility, and sometimes needs to step back, not because they failed, but because they must.

In the end, truth doesn’t always shout. Sometimes, it simply stands—calm, unbothered—while noise exhausts itself.

The same Dino who came a distant third in the last Kogi State Governorship election was seen bragging on Channel TV last week, that he’d beat President Tinubu hands down if the party, ADC, fielded him.

Nigerians have been asking and wondering if this is one of his dry jokes or his w**d supplier has done him dirty.

What is your take on this?

According to an X user; Abu Amir.

“Supporting Tinubu because you stand to personally benefit something is okay but telling us that you support Tinubu because he's going to move this country forward should be punishable by death.”

What is your take on his point?

Mr Peter Obi when asked about what makes a good leader and what qualities a good leader must possess?

Obi: “A good leader must be a LEARNER. A leader must be a LISTENER. A leader must be ready to listen to BAD NEWS.

And who’s going to give you the bad news? Who’s going to tell you you’re not doing well?—it’s the opposition!

So, you must encourage it.”

Out Thought: No wonder Mr. Reno Omokri named you “Agbotikuyo” of Nigeria.

Agbotikuyo simply means someone who rejoices when hearing someone or group of people died.

It’s saddening that this man is always eagerly waiting to hear bad news to use it to attack the Federal Government.

I’m not sure this man truly love and lean well for this country. He has hidden agendas.
