"A SPEAKER OF THE TRUTH HAS NO FRIENDS"

Good morning the entire people of Ijebu land and Remo land in Ogun East Senatorial. We have to think about the next governor of Ogun State 2019. I am so concerned about the lack of infrastructural development.

Look at our roads in our various 9 local government, Are we happy with it?? Ijebu and Remo are the largest senatorial district in Ogun state. If we should vote in Yewa candidate, what will happen to our Roads and other things in Ijebu land, we are still dividing among Egba/Egado and Ijebu/ Remo every 8 years and there is nothing to show for at Ijebu,

What will now be our gain for 16 years if we vote in Yewa Candidate. A child we gave birth to at 2011, we can't take him/her for a walk due to bad road, can we ever compare Ijebu and with Egba land???

Senator Ibikunle Amosun has made everything so easy for Egba people, We thank God it is just 4 bridges with roads closed to them we can show for in Ijebu,Odogbolu,Sagamu and Ijebu_Igbo, that is the only gain for the past 7and half years and these bridges can't be compared with the ones he did at Egba..Do you know the numbers of pedestrians bridges at Egba, Do we even have one in Ijebu and Remo land..LET US CHOOSE WISELY.

The numbers of political appointment in Egba /Yewa cannot be compared with the few at Ijebu Land..
Our people that were given appointments at Abeokuta, you people are coming back to Ijebu land with nothing to show for, while Senator Ibikunle Amosun has done lots of things for Egba people to rest On.....
Let us support all our candidates from Ijebu land, let us have some things to show for if we vote them In.....LET US CHOOSE WISELY

OBA VISITS EBUMAWE, LIMERI...reiterates commitment to serve.

The consultation of All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru on Thursday moved to Ijebu North Local Government with visits to the palaces of the Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye, Oba Adewale Adenugba and the Limeri of Awa, Oba
Amos Awobajo.

At Ago Iwoye, where Otunba Bimbo Ashiru was received by the monarch, palace chiefs and eminent personalities, he thanked them for the rousing reception and show of love. He reiterated his motive to contest the governorship election which was borne out of his genuine desire to consolidate on the achievements of the present administration and employ the experience he has garnered over the years in both private and public sectors in taking Ogun State to greater heights.

This, he stated could only be achieved with the support of all especially community leaders whose positions are very significant in the running of the society.

He said further that in achieving his set goals for the State, blueprint tailored to guide his government has been formulated indicating his readiness to hit the ground running when elected.

OBA also assured that no area will be left out of the development process as he is aware of the peculiar potentials of each community in the State and Ago Iwoye is not an exception.

In response, the Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye, Oba Adewale Adenugba welcomed Otunba Ashiru to his domain and urged him to continue to consult widely with the people as democracy is people's government.

Acknowledging Otunba Bimbo Ashiru as 'the only best" and "the most qualified" person to succeed incumbent Gov. Amosun, the Ebumare also advised elders on his entourage to guide him on the right path to ensure his emergence.

Oba Amos Awobajo, the Limeri of Awa, in his own response stated that the aspiration of Otunba Bimbo Ashiru could be likened to that of the biblical Moses who took his people out of the wilderness.

According to the traditional, ruler, Otunba Ashiru's audacity and resoluteness to lead the Ijebu cause and vie for the position of governor is laudable and deserves every support being a beacon of hope for the Ijebu people both home and in the Diaspora. He also charged Otunba Bimbo Ashiru to mobilise notable sons and daughters of Ijebu to strengthen his chances and ensure victory at the general election in 2019.

ASHIRU's EXEMPLARY QUALITIES CANNOT BE FAULTED - Akarigbo.

The Akarigbo of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi has lauded the emergence of Otunba Bimbo Ashiru as the consensus candidate of the Ijebu-Remo Agenda saying it is a 'choice that cannot be faulted'.

The monarch said this on Sunday when the consultation team of Otunba Bimbo Ashiru visited him at his palace in Sagamu.

Earlier, Dr. Gbolade Oshinowo, Special Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and one of the party chieftains in the State thanked the monarch for the reception. He then had highlighted the reasons for the birth of Ijebu- Remo Agenda. In his words, the State was created on the basis of two Divisions; Egba and Ijebu-Remo Divisions and leadership of the State ought to rotate between the two. The political history of the State has shown that the people of Ijebu and Remo have been marginalised in the scheme of things and this led to the choice of Otunba Ashiru as the consensus candidate of Ijebu-Remo Agenda.

Otunba Ashiru, he stated, has been presented to distinguished leaders in the State including former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who have all testified to his sterling character as someone who is eminently qualified to govern the State and exploit the economic potentials of Ijebu-Remo.

In his address, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru congratulated the Akarigbo on his coronation and also implored those present to observe a minute silence in honour of the late wife of Oba Akarigbo, Olori (Dr.) Linga Ajayi.

Continuing, he thanked his followers who he said were driven by their sheer passion to make Ogun State great and not for monetary sake.

He stressed that professionals are needed in politics so that they can bring their wealth of experience to bear in governance and that was what promoted him as a two-term Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in a State reputed to be the industrial hub of Nigeria.

He stated further that he wants to continue with the good works of Gov. Ibikunke Amosun who he referred to as his boss, friend, brother and mentor and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Oba Ajayi, who expressed his shock on the huge turnout of followers at the occasion said he has known Otunba Ashiru for many years as an upright man who would do his best to move the State forward having been part of the present Administration which has turned Ogun State into an excellent State in terms of attracting investments.

He then advised the team to further reach out to well meaning people in other divisions of the State in order to gain their support. "This is a cause I agree with. The candidate you are putting forward cannot be faulted. He is a man of peace who would not hold anything against you and I will only advise that the team intensify more efforts by working hard to ensure victory. "If you have a good candidate, you still need to work hard to reach your goal", he said.

Present at the occasion were Pa. O. Okuboyejo, Are T.O. Dawodu, Bashorun Adebisi Adesanya, Senator Dipo Odujinrin, Chief Bisi Rodipe, Prof. Toyin Ashiru, Asiwaju Tobi Lawal, Alh.O. Adenusi, Prince Segun Aderibigbe, Hon. Tokunbo Oshin, Chief Jare Dada and other distinguished personalities.
