Oyo to Inaugurate 3rd Youth Parliament as Makinde Approves Dissolution of 2nd
Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the dissolution of the 2nd Oyo Youth Parliament and the constitution of the 3rd Youth Parliament, reinforcing his administration’s strong commitment to youth inclusion, leadership, and participatory governance.
This landmark decision marks a renewed phase in empowering young people and strengthening their role in shaping policies and the future of Oyo State.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Prince Adebowale Adebayo Falana, following the successful kick-off of the ₦1.5 billion YEAP-SAfER programme in Fasola, which is supporting 1,000 young agripreneurs across the state.
The inauguration of the 3rd Youth Parliament will coincide with the valedictory service of the 2nd Parliament, celebrating their service and contributions.
The new Parliament will:
• Deepen youth participation in governance
• Build leadership capacity among youths
• Promote policies that drive socio-economic growth
• Set a progressive and impactful youth agenda
