October has been a month of relentless missions and operations as we continue to strengthen our defenses at strategic locations and vulnerable entry points across the South-West.

From Ogun to Oyo, from Ile-Ife and Modakeke to Ondo City, and onward to Ile-Oluji and the Ilaje waterside, we have remained committed to securing our land and protecting our people.

Day and night. Under the scorching sun and through the pouring rain. No excuses, no retreat just unwavering commitment to the mission.

Our land, our people, our responsibility.

The work continues, the mission remains, and the marathon goes on. 💪🏾🛡️

MISSION FIRST. NO DISTRACTIONS.

There will always be noise, criticism and distractions, but Iru Ekun Security Network remains focused on what truly matters: the safety and security of our communities.

Our mission is clear to make our forests increasingly hostile to terrorists, bandits and kidnappers who threaten our people, ambush our troops, terrorize our communities, and demand ransom from farmers and traditional rulers.

We will continue to patrol, gather information, support security efforts, engage our communities and remain present where our people need us.

We are not here for applause. We are here for service.

The mission continues. The commitment remains. Iru Ekun Security Network is here to stay.

Focused. Resilient. Unshaken.

National Security Alert 🚨

The Nigeria Police Force has issued a nationwide security alert over intelligence suggesting that terrorist elements may be planning coordinated attacks on churches, schools, NYSC orientation camps and other vulnerable locations.

The North-East, North-West, North-Central and parts of the South-West have been identified as areas of concern, with police commanders directed to intensify surveillance, patrols and security around potential targets.

Communities, religious leaders, schools and NYSC officials have also been urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements to security agencies.

Sometimes, the strongest resistance to accountability and effective solutions comes from those who benefit from the problems remaining unresolved.

Good job 👏🏿

UNDERSTANDING THE VISION OF IRU EKUN

Yesterday, several videos connected to IRU EKUN SECURITY NETWORK circulated across social media, accompanied by different interpretations and narratives.

As one of the people responsible for communicating this vision to the public, I believe it is important to address some of the questions and speculation not defensively, but informatively.

The purpose of sharing our activities has never been to show off.

It is to allow the communities we seek to protect to see, understand and engage with the work being done in their environment.

We are no longer living in an era where community security can be treated casually. The threats facing communities, farms, forests, borders and vulnerable rural settlements are evolving, and our approach to security must evolve with them.

LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE

Countries with established security systems still use multiple layers of protection. In the United States, for example, local law-enforcement structures operate within defined jurisdictions alongside state and federal agencies, with specialized units available for particular threats.

Likewise, across parts of Africa, conservation and anti-poaching organizations have developed specialized teams, trained personnel, scouts, technology and coordinated operations to protect vast and difficult terrains.

The lesson is not that Nigeria should simply copy another country.

The lesson is that complex security challenges require structured, coordinated and specialized solutions.

That is the kind of thinking behind IRU EKUN SECURITY NETWORK.

We should see IRU EKUN as a community-level security layer that can complement existing law-enforcement and intelligence institutions particularly in areas where terrain, distance, manpower limitations or communication gaps can create security blind spots.

And this goes beyond manpower.

We are looking at strategic planning, intelligence, reconnaissance, surveillance, technology, community engagement, risk assessment, coordination and structured state commands.

WHY DO WE SHOW THE VIDEOS?

Because our communities deserve some level of assurance.

We cannot publish sensitive intelligence, tactical procedures or operational information that could compromise security. But we can document non-classified aspects of our journey so that the public understands that there is planning, preparation, engagement and work taking place beyond what is visible online.

And we want our communities involved.

Tell us where the problems are.
Tell us where communities feel vulnerable.
Tell us what you believe we can do better.
Tell us how we can serve you more effectively.

Your support does not have to be financial.

Moral support, constructive criticism, useful information, community cooperation and responsible engagement are all forms of support.

We are building this with the understanding that security is ultimately about people.

To our supporters: keep believing, keep engaging and keep holding us to a high standard.

To our critics: keep questioning us but also give us the opportunity to demonstrate what structured community security can become.

We will continue to learn from successful models around the world while developing an approach suited to our own communities, terrain, culture and realities.

IRU EKUN is not simply about today’s videos.
It is about building tomorrow’s security architecture.

We are building deliberately.
We are building responsibly.
We are building for the communities.

God bless IRU EKUN.

God bless the Yoruba people.
God bless Nigeria.

What you see on camera is only a fraction of what happens on the ground.

During our engagement in the Old Oyo National Park, IRU EKUN SECURITY NETWORK, alongside other security and community-security partners, operated in an environment where uncertainty and risk are very real.

We may not show the dangers, the difficult moments or every casualty but that does not mean they do not exist. Those who volunteer for this mission understand the risks and the responsibility that comes with serving their communities.

To everyone who supports this vision, we see you and we appreciate you.

To those who criticize or dismiss our work as “movies” or “content,” you are entitled to your opinion. But social media will never show you the full reality of security work. What matters to us is whether our presence contributes to safer communities and gives our people greater peace of mind.

Negativity will not distract us from the mission.

We will continue to work within the framework of the law, in cooperation with relevant law-enforcement and intelligence agencies, local vigilantes, community leaders and other legitimate security stakeholders.

We are not here to perform for the camera.

We are here to serve, to learn, to build, and to contribute to the protection of our communities, our land and our heritage.

The road ahead will not always be easy. But with discipline, courage, intelligence, technology and responsible collaboration, we can build something our people can believe in.

May God bless Nigeria.
May God protect those who serve.
And may God help us build a safer South West for generations to come.
