*Ibadan Community Football Competition : BGI Gives Support To Youth Development*

House of assembly hopeful, Honourable Babatunde George Ige has charged Youths in Ibadan South West Local Government to put in their best for the development of Sports in their community. BGI said this during the final event of this year Ibadan Community Football Competition which held at Ilaji Stadium.

Honourable Babatunde George Ige who is a co-sponsor of the football event where two football club from his constituency reached the last stage of the competition.
*Adeoyo Football Community* *from Ward 11 and* *Apata Football Community from Ward 12.*

Young people who participate in sports in their community from early on are more likely to become engaged citizens and physically fit. So in order to have better “young” citizenship, physical fitness is one of the best tools.

The youth face many issues in the world, but these issues go unheard. Since the youth would better understand other young people, the best way to improve this newer generation would be through good sports and active politics, which are tools used to take action for development.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu; Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde; former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and five other governors on the platform of the party, on Friday, received the convener of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran aka JANDOR, into the PDP fold.







The governors in attendance are: host governor, Makinde; Rivers State governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike; Akwa Ibom governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel; Abia State governor, Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu; Enugu State governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; Bayelsa State governor, Senator Duoye Diri.
The event, which had in attendance members of the National Working Committee of the PDP, including the Deputy National Chairman, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyawu, as well as former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George; former Governors Peter Obi and Olusegun Mimiko, was held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.





A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that Governor Makinde, while addressing select journalists shortly after the event, said the event signalled the beginning of a new dawn for the PDP in Lagos State.
According to the governor, the South-West PDP is now fully ready to lead the charge to rescue the zone and the country from the hands of APC, which promised too much but did so little to justify the trust Nigerians had in it.





“Today, I joined my brother governors in the PDP and other well-meaning members of our great party to welcome Mr. Jide Adediran of the Lagos4Lagos Movement to the PDP.
“Indeed, it is the dawn of a new era and our great party has shown through many ways, that it is ready to rescue the South-West and Nigeria from the maladministration of bad governance of the APC. The South-West, as I have always said, is strategic to Nigeria’s politics and we will definitely lead

GSM EFFECT:🚦FOCUSING ON 🚧ROADS & MEGA CONSTRUCTIONS ALONE.

Note: All setbacks like COVID-19 pandemic lockdown & Societal Protest (ENDSARS) were not considered as delay nor excuse.

Here we go, 191.1kilometers of road done, excluding ongoing 75kms circular road which will be completed in 2023 out of total 110kms and Flyovers.

Constructive & logical criticism is a welcome idea but Antagonistic reproach! Not healthy to anyone. Even the blind can see all these Major mega projects embarked upon by Gov. Seyi Makinde

Follow me and enjoy this visionary man who embrace 21st century city development conceptualization, with special taste for project finesse & details.

Presently, total kilometer of roads constructed & ongoing by this present proactive government led by Gov. Seyi Makinde is 191.1km. Excluding also, the 110kms circular road ongoing which Gov. Seyi Makinde promise to deliver 75kms (which is 82.5% of the said circular road project) by years 2023.

It is noteworthy to note that some of the said road projects were well padded and over bloated with cost by previous APC government led by our dear Late Gov. Abiola Ajimobi.

Gov. Seyi Makinde has to review many of these previous road constructions awarded, for proper accountability and great value for money.

Using Saki township road as a case study. Gov. Seyi Makinde re-awarded 9.7km Saki township road to Messrs Peculiar Ltd for N4,796,000,000 which the immediate previous administration had previously awarded at over N8 billion and the contractor was paid N3 billion where he execute job worth only N1billion.

Now with the new good hands, the project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
Gov. Seyi Makinde government has done a lot of magnificent jaw dropping projects compare to what we’ve experienced in the past in terms of good projects.

If we all recall vividly, previous administration awarded Moniya-Iseyin roads at about N1billion per km. The proactive administration of Gov.
