The SA Student Affairs to the Oyo State Governor , heartily wishes everyone a most amazing new month and a Happy Independence Day celebration.

Today, the office of the SA students celebrates the day our homeland earned her liberation. Let us also be reminded that beyond celebrating, we are once again called to serve and remain loyal to the peace, growth and progress of our dear country, Nigeria.

Today, the 8th of September 2022, the usual monthly meeting with the Students’ Union Leaders and NANS JCC Structure of Oyo State was held.

The main agenda of the meeting was to give a detailed report of the just concluded NANS National Convention and to also deliberate on the challenges faced by tertiary institutions in Oyo State as well as possible ways of achieving growth within the student structure.

The student leaders’ pledged their support to His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Makinde as they expressed their gratitude for His Excellency’s unwavering kindness and commitment towards the student populace.

My office partnered with One Foundation to host Unipreneur; an entrepreneurial talk which was held in a bid to lecture students and budding entrepreneurs on the pros and cons of achieving success as an entrepreneur.

The event which had over 200 students in attendance was termed "Entrepreneurial Thinking" and it held on Saturday, 3rd September, 2022 at the Western Hall, Secretariat Ibadan.

I was honoured to attend the event as one of the keynote speakers on the day where I spoke extensively on ways of achieving outstanding success as an entrepreneur.

Today, I held another monthly meeting with all Students Union Presidents, NANS Leadership and other important student stakeholders at the Ministry of Education.

The meeting was aimed at discussing mutual cooperation towards further developments and peaceful coexistence in the state especially as they affect students.

The students' leaders expressed their gratitude towards the proactiveness of Engr Oluseyi Makinde's government in ensuring the upliftment of the educational sectors and ensuring desirable learning environments.

The needs and other matters concerning the students in Oyo state were discussed and swift actions have been taken immediately. I am glad to work with these brilliant and committed students leaders.

Today, the Office of the S.A Students commenced Students PVC Pre-Registration with Orientation Program for Volunteers. Volunteers are 4 ICT oriented individuals across 17 Public Higher Institutions. This is geared towards having voting students populace.

On Tuesday 11th January, 2022 we held a meeting with the leadership of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union and National Association of Nigerian Students.
We discussed the challenges students face in the Agbowo Community. We identified key issues and had action point in tackling the issue. The process are ongoing.

It’s quite disheartening as full information on the progress of the issue is not stated.
It would have been very appropriate if the Union could hold on for the feedback before going to the public.
