Bursary Department Holds Send-Forth Celebration for Retiring Staff at Adamawa State College of Education, Hong

The Bursary Department of Adamawa State College of Education, Hong has organised a send-forth celebration in honour of Mohammed Musa, a staff member of the Final Account Unit, who is retiring from the service of the College.

The event, held today at the office of the Bursar, Kafari Augustine, brought together colleagues and members of the Bursary Department who gathered to celebrate Musa’s years of dedicated service to the institution.

Speaking during the ceremony, colleagues took turns to pour encomiums on the retiring staff member, describing him as a committed and dependable colleague whose contributions to the department and the College would be remembered.

In his remarks, Mohammed Musa expressed gratitude to God for seeing him through his years of service to Adamawa State College of Education, Hong.

He also appreciated the organisers and his colleagues for putting together the celebration in his honour, saying the gesture meant a lot to him.

Musa thanked his colleagues for their support and companionship throughout his years in service, while expressing appreciation for the opportunity to have contributed to the growth and development of the College.

The celebration provided an opportunity for colleagues to reflect on his years of service, share fond memories and wish him a fulfilling and peaceful retirement.

OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that the Management of Adamawa State College of Education, Hong announces the death of Mr. Musa Bulus Yaro, a dedicated and highly valued staff member of the College, who passed away on 20th August 2026 following a tragic accident.

Until his death, Mr. Musa Bulus Yaro served as the NYSC Coordinator and Variation Officer of the College. He was a committed, hardworking and dedicated staff member whose contributions to the College will be greatly remembered and appreciated.

Beyond his official responsibilities, Mr. Musa was a very jovial, warm and friendly person. He was often the first to greet you with a welcoming smile. His cordial relationship with both staff and students earned him the respect and affection of the College community. He was a man whose presence brought warmth and happiness to those around him, and many staff and students continue to speak fondly of his kindness and friendliness.

His death is a great loss to his family, colleagues, students and the entire Adamawa State College of Education, Hong community. We pray that Almighty God grants his family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

BURIAL ARRANGEMENTS

The remains of the deceased will depart from Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, on Tuesday, 25th August 2026, at 7:00 a.m. for Humbutudi, Maiha Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

Upon arrival at the family compound, there will be a brief laying-in-state ceremony.

The Funeral Service will thereafter be held at LCCN Humbutudi, Maiha, at 11:00 a.m.

Following the funeral service, the remains will be taken to the family compound for final interment.

Management, staff and students of the College mourn the loss of a colleague and friend who will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that the Management of Adamawa State College of Education, Hong , announces the death of Mr. Muhammed Aliyu Muhammed, a Lecturer in the Department of Arabic and the Examination Officer of the Department.

Mr. Muhammed Aliyu Muhammed joined the service of the College as an Assistant Lecturer in 2022. He was a dedicated and hardworking staff member who was well respected by his colleagues and students.

He was a down-to-earth, kind-hearted and amiable person who lived peacefully with everyone around him. His humility, dedication to duty and good relationship with people endeared him to many. His death is a great loss to the College community, his family and all who knew him.

He hailed from Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State. He has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

The Management of Adamawa State College of Education, Hong under the leadership of Prof Yusuf Benson Baha extends its heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, relatives, colleagues, the entire College community and the good people of Ganye Local Government Area. We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him eternal rest and gives his family and loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

Mr. Muhammed Aliyu Muhammed will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
