ZAMFARA GOVERNMENT DIRECTS FELDMARK TO COMPLETE ULTRA-MODERN MOTOR PARK BY JANUARY 2027

The Zamfara State Government has directed FeldMark Construction Company Limited to complete the construction of the Ultra-Modern Motor Park on or before 31 January 2027.

The directive was issued by the Hon. Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Tourism, Hon. Tasi’u Musa Shinkafi, in line with the approval granted by His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal.

The Commissioner presented the official letter to the Managing Director of FeldMark Construction Company Limited at his office, stressing the need for the company to complete the project within the stipulated deadline.

Musa Shinkafi added that, The original completion date for the project was 18 January 2025. However, due to the delay, the Commissioner warned the company to complete the project within the new deadline without further delay.

Shinkafi said the state government is committed to ensuring that the Ultra-Modern Motor Park is completed and put into use for the benefit of the people of Zamfara State.

ZAMFARA GOVERNMENT SIGNS MOU WITH ASMARA VENTURES ON STONEHENGE HOTEL

The Zamfara State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Asmara Ventures Limited for the management and development of Stonehenge Hotel in Abuja.

The agreement was signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Tourism, Hon. Tasi’u Musa Shinkafi, on behalf of the Zamfara State Government.

Under the agreement, Asmara Ventures Limited will take over the management of the hotel, rehabilitate and maintain the facility, and invest more than ₦4 billion over a period of 20 years.

The company is also expected to remit agreed revenues to the Zamfara State Government account throughout the period of the agreement.

The Commissioner explained that the decision followed the Government’s review of the previous arrangement, under which the hotel was not receiving adequate care and the expected benefits to the State were not being fully realised.

He said the new agreement is aimed at improving the hotel, protecting the State’s asset and increasing revenue for the people of Zamfara State.

The Commissioner assured that the Government would continue to pursue responsible management of public assets for the benefit of the State.
