The Gombe state house of Assembly has passed into law a bill to establish Community Development Association and community Based organization registration office 2024.
These followed a Presentation of report at the house plenary by the chairman House Committee on Rural community development cooperative and SDGs Honourable Isaac Maigemu Lamido member representing Balanga south in the state House of Assembly.
The lawmaker reminded that the committee has organised a one day public hearing at the conference hall of the Assembly which brought together relevant stake holders and relevant organizations like Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), civil society organizations and association of non governmental organization among others, with the aim of addressing areas of concerns.
The chairman of the committee also mentioned the recommendation of the committee which was delibrated and adopted by the house after it's third reading by the clerk to the house Barrister Rukayya Adamu Jalo.
The speaker Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo thanked the State Governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya saying the bill will enable alots of people in the rural communities to benefit from the devidend of democracy and thanked the Honourable members for their usual cooperation.
