The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure led his team for an inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects across Enugu State, beginning at New Enugu City, where we assessed the level of work at the various construction sites. Work continues to progress across the city, including the road network, housing development and other major infrastructure.
From there, we proceeded to the Eke Obinagu – ObodoNike – Umuode – Oruku – Aguikpa – Amaechi Idodo Road, where drainage and earthworks are progressing along the 18.23 km corridor, which connects to the completed Amaechi Idodo–Amagunze Road.
We thereafter proceeded to the Owo–Ubahu–Ama Nkanu–Neke–Ikem Road, where construction works have reached the final stages. The progress recorded along this important corridor is encouraging, as the project moves steadily towards completion.
Across the sites visited, our focus remains on ensuring that these projects are delivered to the required standards and in line with the infrastructure development vision of the administration of His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
We will continue to monitor every project closely until they are completed and delivered for the benefit of Ndi Enugu.
Tomorrow is here.
