How to protect yourself & others:

✅ Avoid contact with anyone showing fever, vomiting, bleeding, or severe weakness
✅ Don’t touch blood, body fluids, or items of sick persons without protection
✅ Avoid handling/ eating bush meat or dead/sick animals
✅ Keep your environment and yourself clean
✅ Report suspected cases to the nearest health facility immediately
✅ Cooperate with health officials during screening & contact tracing
✅ Get info ONLY from verified government sources. Stop the spread of rumors!

For Travelers:
If you’ve returned from a country with confirmed outbreaks, monitor your health closely. Seek medical help if any symptoms appear.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING SESSION | NOA FCT DIRECTORATE ✨

Today, the FCT Directorate had an inspiring in-house training on “LEADERSHIP”, led by our State Director, Princess Egbe Akenzua.

The session set the tone for organizational growth with one powerful message: A “boss” holds a title, but a true “leader” can emerge from anywhere.

Princess Egbe challenged staff to look beyond titles, reminding us that while every leader may act as a boss, not every boss truly leads. The focus? The difference between monitoring rules and inspiring people. A real leader directs with vision, makes informed decisions, and leads by example, not by power.

Key takeaways from the session:
✅ Emotional Intelligence matters
✅ Active listening builds trust
✅ Motivate through accountability & clear communication
✅ Leadership rests on 3 pillars: Skill. Character. Commitment.

The Director also broke down different leadership styles , Transactional, Autocratic, and Transformational and emphasized that the right style depends on the time and situation. Her call to action? “Build relationships for tomorrow’s sake” and foster a culture of mutual respect that outlasts any role.

Deputy Director, Media & Communication, Mr. Uche Frank Adigo, added that leadership is about adapting your approach to fit the moment.

The session ended with a strong push to make leadership training continuous across all levels of the Agency. Because true leadership isn’t a destination it’s an ongoing journey of character and growth.

Here’s to building a resilient, motivated, and excellent workforce at NOA FCT.

NOA Celebrates Information Minister Mohammed Idris at 60!

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) is joining Nigerians to celebrate the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday.

In a heartfelt message, NOA Director-General Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu commended the Minister’s focused and forward-looking leadership, which has continued to strengthen the information and orientation sector and provide clear direction for agencies under the ministry.

According to the DG, the Minister’s emphasis on national values, civic responsibility, and patriotism has helped reposition public discourse and encouraged Nigerians to take greater ownership of the country’s growth and stability. His leadership has brought renewed energy to reconnecting citizens with the core ideals of unity, discipline, and collective responsibility, pillars essential for sustainable national development.

DG also noted that the clarity, consistency, and structure introduced into government communication under the Minister’s guidance have improved public understanding of policies and programmes, while his commitment to truthful and responsible communication has played a key role in countering misinformation and rebuilding public trust.

The agency continues to draw strength from the Minister’s leadership, which has deepened our grassroots sensitisation efforts across communities nationwide.

NOA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Minister’s vision by intensifying advocacy programmes that promote discipline, integrity, and active citizenship across Nigeria.

Happy 60th birthday, Honourable Minister! We pray for more wisdom, good health, and greater fulfillment in the years ahead. 🙏

Happy Workers Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬✊

Today, 1 May 2026, the heartbeat of Nigeria’s labour force is at Eagle Square, Abuja for the annual May Day celebration.

This is more than just a public holiday, it’s a day to honour the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices of Nigerian workers who keep the nation moving. From teachers and nurses to drivers, artisans, and civil servants, today is about YOU.

What’s happening at Eagle Square:
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) are leading the national parade with affiliate unions marching in their colours.
Government officials, diplomatic missions, and employers’ groups are joining in solidarity.
Speeches, solidarity messages, and calls for better wages, safer workplaces, and stronger labour policies are taking center stage.

Also present is NOA Director FCT, Princess Egbe Akenzua, who joined the celebration to show support for the Nigerian workforce and promote the values of patriotism, productivity, and civic responsibility.

After some initial uncertainty over the venue due to ongoing renovations, Eagle Square has been officially revalidated for today’s celebration. The FCT Administration has also pledged full support to make it hitch-free.

This year’s May Day carries extra weight as it marks the last celebration under the current administration, making today’s voices even more important in shaping the future of work in Nigeria.

To every Nigerian worker: Thank you for your resilience. Your contribution builds this country, one day at a time.
