Happy Ending?
PROLOGUE
I overheard someone i can't really remember where I heard her saying it but I remember her words like it was yesterday. She said love is a blessing,hmm is love really that. I ask myself that question every single day since I heard it. You know it's funny how people think every body who smiles everyday is happy. At least I know am not happy. Mama used to say a happy home is built by a woman on love. But then Papa would lay hands on her and she would scream in pains two minutes later after the brutal moment Mama would smile at him while serving his meal then she would sit at her own side of the table and ask how our day went like she wasn't slapped or punched some minutes ago. It was funny to me as a child because when Papa hit me I would always cry and sulk for days but Mama wasn't like that she was always okay in minutes and so I considered her a super hero. The truth is she wasn't a super hero she was a weakling just like me. Our elder used to say ‘you and your partner will grow and change in unexpected ways–Embrace it’. They never said the unexpected ways will be so brutal though. My name is Faith Henshaw and this is my story.
