GOVERNMENT PUBLIC NOTICE
MANDATORY REGISTRATION OF BONNY–BODO MOTOR PARK OPERATIONS
In line with the Bonny Local Government Council Bye-Law on Transportation Management No. 2 of 2002, which empowers the Local Government to manage and regulate transportation within its domain - all transport companies or unions operating motor parks within Bonny Local Government Area are hereby required to formally register their motor park operations with the Bonny Local Government Council.
By the directive of the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, all transport companies and unions are mandated to register with the Bonny Investment Promotion Committee (BIPC) and pay all applicable operational levies.
With effect from Monday, December 22, 2025, any transport company or union operating a motor park within Bonny without due registration with the Bonny Investment Promotion Committee shall be deemed illegal and will be subject to appropriate sanctions in line with extant laws.
