Esan Central APC Leaders Unanimously Endorse Sir Lucky Eseigbe for House of Representatives Ahead of 2026 Primaries

The political atmosphere in Esan Central Local Government came alive on Thursday, May 8, 2026, as leaders, stakeholders, ward executives, youth leaders, and party faithful of the All Progressives Congress (APC) unanimously endorsed Sir Lucky Eseigbe Esq. as the party’s preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Esan Central, Esan West, and Igueben Federal Constituency.
The endorsement, which followed a strategic gathering of APC leaders and stakeholders across the local government, was described as a collective and deliberate decision rooted in party unity, loyalty, competence, and grassroots acceptability.
Party leaders at the gathering expressed overwhelming confidence in Sir Lucky Eseigbe’s leadership capacity, political experience, accessibility, and longstanding commitment to the APC, noting that his emergence as the preferred candidate reflects the wishes and aspirations of the party structure and the people across the constituency.
Speaking during the endorsement, APC leaders unanimously maintained that Sir Lucky Eseigbe possesses the legislative experience, political maturity, and grassroots connection required to provide quality representation and attract meaningful development to the federal constituency.
They emphasized that although other aspirants are qualified and respected within the party, the leadership was compelled to rally behind a candidate widely considered experienced, dependable, and electorally marketable.
According to the leaders, the endorsement was reached democratically and in line with the constitutional processes and internal directives of the APC.
Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Communication, Strategy, and Media Planning, GodsWill Inegbe, described the endorsement as a reflection of party supremacy and discipline, stressing that loyal members of the APC must align with decisions taken collectively by the leadership in the overall interest of the party.
He stated that the APC remains a structured political institution guided by constitutional processes and collective responsibility, adding that the decision to endorse Sir Lucky Eseigbe was unanimously agreed upon by stakeholders and leaders in Esan Central Local Government.
Adding his voice, Prince Williams Shaka Momodu, APC leader in Esan Central Local Government, said the endorsement represented a unanimous resolution by party leaders at both the ward and local government levels.
He noted that the confidence reposed in Sir Lucky Eseigbe was based on his loyalty to the party, leadership qualities, and commitment to the development of the constituency.
Similarly, Amb. ESV Tony Okonigene, APC leader in Esan Central, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to discipline and respect for party directives, stating that just as the APC at the national level remains united behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the constituency leadership had also resolved to endorse Sir Lucky Eseigbe for the House of Representatives seat.
According to him, the decision was collectively reached by party leaders and stakeholders who strongly believe that Sir Lucky Eseigbe possesses the competence, maturity, and capacity to effectively represent the people at the National Assembly.
In the same vein, Barr. Danaco, another APC leader in Esan Central Local Government, described the endorsement as part of the democratic process of party politics, noting that every election comes with internal consultations and consensus-building.
He explained that while several aspirants are qualified, the party leadership must ultimately settle for a candidate considered best positioned to secure victory and deliver effective representation.
Barr. Danaco further stated that Sir Lucky Eseigbe’s credentials, political exposure, and preparedness distinguished him among the aspirants, expressing confidence that the APC would record electoral success with him as the party’s flag bearer.
The endorsement motion was formally moved by Hon. Bello Oyaziwolo, APC Edo Central Senatorial Youth Leader and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassador Initiative in Esan Central Local Government, while Hon. Comrade Farouk Ehimegbe, Organizing Secretary of the APC in Esan Central Local Government and Executive Director of the Edo State Road Maintenance Agency, seconded the motion in line with the directive of the party leadership.
Party faithful and grassroots supporters who attended the gathering described Sir Lucky Eseigbe as a humble, accessible, and people-oriented politician whose acceptance cuts across wards and local government areas within the federal constituency.
Hon. Ehis Arebamen, APC Ward 9 Leader in Esan Central Local Government, described the endorsement as a reflection of the will of the people, noting that Sir Lucky Eseigbe’s humility, simplicity, inclusive leadership style, and dedication to party unity have endeared him to party members and residents across the constituency.
He stressed that the endorsement was freely and unanimously agreed upon without intimidation or coercion, adding that the overwhelming turnout of party supporters at the gathering demonstrated the growing acceptance and popularity of the APC candidate.
Leaders at the event further maintained that Sir Lucky Eseigbe has remained consistent and steadfast with the APC over the years, standing firmly with the party and Governor Monday Okpebholo even during difficult political periods.
They expressed optimism that his candidacy would further strengthen the APC’s electoral chances in the forthcoming elections, while also consolidating party unity and grassroots mobilization across Esan Central, Esan West, and Igueben Federal Constituency.
The gathering ended with chants of solidarity, celebration, and renewed commitment by party stakeholders to work collectively for the success of the APC and the emergence of Sir Lucky Eseigbe as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming primaries.
