Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has urged the South-South region to deliver unity votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election, declaring "there is no vacancy in Aso Rock" as the presidency must remain in the South for an eight-year term.
Speaking in Benin City during a courtesy visit by the Union of Tippers, Suppliers and Quarry Employers of Nigeria (UTSQEN), Okpebholo defended the removal of the fuel subsidy, stating it has freed up funds for governors to finance development.
He credited the Tinubu administration with supporting Edo State’s infrastructure drive—specifically highlighting the durable concrete paving of Sapele Road.
The UTSQEN National Chairman Wilson Ogbachi commended the governor's focus on security and invited him to host the union's upcoming national delegates' conference.
