UBTH CMD, PROF. IDIA IZE-IYAMU, APPLAUDS HON. IDUSERI’S LEADERSHIP; PARTNERS OREDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL IN ONGOING REFORMS

The Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri has received the Management of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, on a courtesy visit to the Council.

Welcoming the Management team led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, Hon. Iduseri Represented by the Secretary to the Council, Hon. Alexander Ason Osayi, described Ize Iyamu's leadership as one worthy of emulation, while commending her transformational strides which he described as a semblance of the leadership strides of her husband, Pst. Ize-Iyamu in the Edo State APC.

Speaking earlier during the visit, Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu commended Hon. Iduseri's transformational leadership in Oredo Local Government Area, while congratulating him on his victory at the recently conducted primary elections, as substantive Chairman of the Primer Local Government Council. She however noted that the visit was aimed at fostering partnership/ collaborations with Oredo Local Government Council, adding that currently, UBTH is undergoing a new phase of reforms.

Oredo Local Government Council on Monday, 6, of April, 2026, held a special Easter retreat as Christians all over the world celebrated Easter in commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In his brief welcome address, the host and Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri, drew his lesson from Isaiah 53, urging all present to reflect on the love of Christ and the finished work of redemption.
