Anambra 2025: Umuawulu Hosts Awka South Soludo Campaign Council Ward Tour Train
On Monday, 22nd September 2025, the Soludo Campaign Council of Awka South Local Government Area continued its ward-to-ward tour across the LGA to strengthen the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election. The campaign train made a grand stop at the Umuawulu Civic Center.
Receiving the team was the Convener of the Ide Global 4 Soludo Second Term Support Group and Chairman of the Soludo Campaign Council for Umuawulu Ward, High Chief Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, Rff (Ide Umuawulu, Nwanayoeze), who warmly welcomed the delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
Before the commencement of the program, a minute of silence was observed in honour of the late former Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Harford Oseke, who, until his death, was the leader of APGA in Umuawulu.
In his remarks, Ide Umuawulu extolled the achievements of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo over the past three years and emphasized the need for Ndi Umuawulu to fully embrace the Solution Agenda by voting massively for APGA in the forthcoming election. Reaffirming his earlier stance, he declared that “there is no vacancy in the Light House, Awka”, noting that the upcoming election is merely to fulfill constitutional requirements as stipulated by INEC.
He further expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for retaining his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, as his running mate for the second-term bid, describing him as “a worthy son of Mbaukwu and Obizi in whom we are well pleased.”
“We will not disappoint him,” he concluded.
Also lending his voice, the President General of the Ogidi/Ogbunike International Building Materials Market, Chief Jude Nwankwo (Jolity, Ochendo Umuawulu), praised Governor Soludo’s transformational leadership, citing massive infrastructural development across the state. He affirmed that Ndi Anambra aptly conferred on the Governor the title “Oluatuegwu Anambra”, adding that come November 8, 2025, Umuawulu will deliver 100% votes to APGA without compromise.
The ward tour, which recorded a massive turnout, saw Ndi Umuawulu openly reaffirm their unwavering support for Governor Soludo and the APGA. The event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Mayor of Awka South Local Government, Prince Chinedu Okafor; Awka South APGA Chairman, Barr. Chukwuma Lawrence; ASWAMA Board Chairman, Professor Emma Ezenwaji; ACTDA Boss, Hon. Ossy Onuko; alongside other party stakeholders and faithful.
