*Dearest Leaders and Esteemed Members,*

We once again welcome everyone to this strategic year of *2025,* we want to thank you all for your collective efforts and commitment thus far in our journey *to strategically position Ogbaru for greater economic development.*

The year ahead presents us with a unique opportunity to consolidate the gains from the last *Economic Summit* and take bold steps towards realizing our shared vision for Ogbaru. However, it is important to note that achieving this vision will require greater commitment, synergy, and active participation from every one of us, *especially within our Think Tank Committees.*

To help us chart a clear course for 2025, we are organizing *a One-Day Retreat for all committee heads and members on:*

*Date:* Saturday, 1st February 2025
*Venue:* St. Gregory Catholic Parish Hall, Iyiowa Odekpe
*Time:* 9:00 AM

This retreat is for all appointed committee members, and is critical as it will provide us with an avenue to:
*1. Refine our strategies for 2025.*
*2. Acquaint ourselves with our roles and expectations.*
*3. Foster better bonding and collaboration across committees.*
*4. Reaffirm our commitment to the vision and objectives of the Ogbaru Economic Summit.*

It is imperative that all committee members actively participate in this retreat. Your presence and input are vital to the success of our collective efforts.

To ensure the retreat is well-organized, *we have inaugurated a Local Organizing Committee (LOC)* to oversee its planning and ex*****on.

The members of the LOC are as follows:

The LOC has already held its inaugural meeting, and we are confident they will deliver an outstanding retreat. We also thank them for accepting to carry out this very important assignment for all of us.

Lastly, we wish to remind everyone that this platform is not just a space for updates but also a venue to engage in meaningful and constructive conversations devoid of negativity, that can drive tangible improvements in our homeland. Let us all take advantage of this opportunity to contribute our ideas and support.

*Dear Leaders and Members of Ogbaru Economic Summit Team,*

It is with great pride and appreciation that I share the report on the successful *Dry Season Vegetable Farming Training* held on *Friday, 13th December 2024*, at Atani in Ogbaru L.G.A.

The *Agriculture Development Think Tank Committee*, under the leadership of *Dr. Ifeyinwa Uzoka*, in partnership with *She Grows Her Food Initiative*, made remarkable strides in driving agricultural development in Ogbaru.

*Highlights of the Project:*

1. *Hundreds of Ogbaru Farmers were Trained*:

*Hundreds of farmers** across various communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area participated in this impactful training.

2. *Distribution of Free Vegetable Seedlings*:

Our farmers received *improved vegetable seedlings* to support dry-season farming, promoting food security and economic empowerment.

3. *Skilled Master Trainers*:

The program leveraged the expertise of *some master trainers* earlier trained at Songhai Farms, who are now transferring knowledge to our local farmers.

4. *Collaborative Support*:

- We deeply appreciate the collaborative efforts from *the Local Government Council* through the *Acting Mayor* who supported the Agric Think Tank Team to make this program a success.

*Impact and Future Prospects:*

This initiative is a direct outcome of the *Ogbaru Economic Summit held in October*, which set the foundation for long-term economic growth.

It also demonstrates our collective resolve to position Ogbaru for agricultural prosperity and leverage opportunities from the *current administration’s developmental agenda*.

I wish to specially appreciate the *Chairperson of the Agricultural Development Think Tank Committee*, *Dr. Ifeyinwa Uzoka*, for her outstanding leadership and dedication. I also extend heartfelt gratitude to the *Acting Mayor of Ogbaru* for his support to the team, whilst appreciating *She Grows Her Food Initiative* for their invaluable partnership and support.

To all farmers, trainers, and participants who contributed to the success of this program, we commend your commitment to sustainable development. Your efforts will undoubtedly have a long-lasting impact on Ogbaru's economic landscape.

Let us continue to build on this momentum as we work towards a better, more prosperous Ogbaru.
