The Government of Anambra State yesterday held an Inter-Denominational Service in preparation for the second term swearing-in ceremony of His Excellency, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, and the Deputy Governor, Onyekachukwu Ibezim.

The service brought together government officials, religious leaders, and Ndi Anambra in prayers and thanksgiving as the state prepares for the inauguration ceremony.

The Government of Anambra State cordially invites Ndi Anambra and the general public to the Swearing-in Ceremony for the Second Term of His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, Governor of Anambra State, and Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Deputy Governor of Anambra State.

The Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, was recently honoured with the Special Ambassador of Youth Award by the Anambra State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) during a courtesy visit.

The award recognises her outstanding contribution toward youth development and her continued commitment to policies and initiatives that support the growth and empowerment of young people in Anambra State.

We specially celebrate the First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, and our honourable commissioner, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, their dedication and passion has continued to inspire many women across the state.

Last week, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning joined other Board Members of the Institute of Social Policy, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University.

The meeting provided an opportunity for interaction between the Board and the University’s leadership. It also reaffirmed the commitment of the Institute to its mandate within the University.

The board members appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception and continued support to the Institute.

The Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning successfully hosted the 2nd National Economic Council (NEC) Conference on 9th–10th February 2026 at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The conference brought together the Executive Governors of the 36 states, Commissioners for Budget and Economic Planning, and other key stakeholders to discuss Nigeria’s economic growth and development.

With the theme “Delivering Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development: The Renewed Hope National Development Plan,” the meeting focused on strengthening coordination between the Federal and State Governments. Discussions centred on practical steps to grow the economy, improve revenue, create jobs, and ensure that development benefits all Nigerians.

Governors participated in panel sessions where they shared their experiences and strategies for driving growth in their states. The Governor of Anambra State spoke on practical pathways to inclusive growth and reaffirmed his commitment to stronger economic cooperation across the country. The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Anambra State, was also in attendance.

The conference reinforced the shared commitment to work together to deliver sustainable development and broad-based prosperity nationwide.
