A Case For Continuity: Why Ndi Anambra Must Re-Elect Soludo On Nov 8

In less than four years, he has laid a foundation strong enough to propel Anambra into a globally competitive economy if not disrupted. The question before us is simple: Why fix it if it is not broken? Why halt progress midway when the harvest season is just ahead? Soludo’s achievements speak for themselves. Leadership is measured by tangible results. Solution is not just sloganeering but a call to action.

Soludo’s record is clear evidence that Anambra is on the path of growth and renewal. When Soludo took office, insecurity was the state’s greatest nightmare. Communities were under siege, businesses were threatened, and daily life was unsettled. Through courage and innovation, he strengthened collaboration with security agencies, invested in technology-driven surveillance, and tackled crime from its roots.

Today, markets, schools, and highways once deserted are steadily recovering their vibrancy. Peace and stability have returned to towns and villages, because security is not a privilege, it is a necessity. Anambra has long suffered from poor roads and abandoned projects. Soludo broke that cycle. Across all 21 local government areas, road construction and rehabilitation projects are ongoing.

From urban expressways to rural farm roads, he is opening up Anambra for commerce and mobility. Awka, the capital, is gradually transforming into a modern city with improved road networks and drainage systems. Soludo has spread development evenly, ensuring that every Anambrarian sees, feels, and drives on the dividends of democracy. Education is the ladder to the future, and Soludo has made it a top priority.

Let us rise with one voice, Ndi Anambra, and declare boldly: Soludo deserves a second term. For progress. For unity. For prosperity. Let us do the right thing

He has recruited thousands of teachers to fill long-neglected vacancies, restored discipline and accountability in the school system, and introduced digital learning initiatives that prepare children for a technology-driven world. Technical and vocational education is being revitalised to equip young people with employable skills.

His administration understands that the future economy belongs to the skilled, not the unskilled, and he is building that workforce today. Health is wealth, and Soludo is investing heavily in public health infrastructure. Primary healthcare centres across the state are being revived, equipped, and staffed.

The recruitment of new health workers has brought relief to communities long deprived of adequate care. His administration is also expanding access to health insurance so that medical bills no longer push families into poverty. In partnership with global agencies, maternal and child health programmes are reducing preventable deaths.

This is governance that values human lives above all. Prof. Soludo’s famous mantra: “Everything Technology, Everywhere Technology,” is no empty phrase. He has backed it up with action. Digital innovation hubs are emerging across Anambra, equipping youths with ICT skills, software development training, and entrepreneurial capacity. Start-ups are receiving state support, positioning Anambra as the Silicon Valley of the Southeast.

Beyond technology, he has provided grants, loans, and technical support for small businesses, while also boosting agriculture through mechanisation and fertilizer distribution. With Soludo, economic empowerment is not theory—it is practice. Anambra is plagued by gully erosion, a natural disaster threatening lives, farmlands, and infrastructure. Soludo has treated this challenge with urgency.

By partnering with federal agencies and international development partners, he has launched multi-million-dollar reclamation projects in erosion-prone communities. At the same time, his government has strengthened urban planning laws and educated citizens on responsible land use.

Unlike the lip service of the past, this administration is fighting erosion with science, law, and engineering. A society that neglects its youths and women sabotages its own future. Soludo understands this truth. His empowerment programmes go beyond token gifts; they equip people with the means to become financially independent.

Women’s cooperatives have received grants, youths have been trained in ICT, agriculture, and trades, and startup kits have been distributed across local governments. These initiatives are building dignity, not dependency. Zoning in Anambra is a chain that must not be broken. Some may ask: why not try a new leader?

The answer is straightforward. Governance is not trial-and-error. The first term is for laying foundations; the second term is for reaping the harvest. Soludo has already paid the price of groundwork— studying files, building teams, securing partnerships, and initiating projects. A new administration would waste years repeating the same learning curve, while ongoing projects risk abandonment.
Solution is the best man for this job at this moment ndi Anambra state

SENATOR UMEH @63 : Celebrating A Life Of Great Humanitarianism And Selfless Service.

Today, July 19, we celebrate a man of vision and valour, Distinguished Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, KSJI, KSS, OFR, FNIVS, FNIPR, (Ohamadike Ndigbo), Senator Representing Anambra Central Senatorial District. A man who has written his name in the sands of time through his extraordinary impacts in human development and audibility in the course of engandering good governance and the people's welfare especially in addressing the plight of the South East.

It is a day to celebrate a man who has done so much good for humanity. A man of unfathomable charisma and dynamism. His altruistic life has been a stanchion for many. A man who in his magnanimity, has put the well-being of the people in the front burner of his engagements anchored on his advocacy for justice, equity and fairness in governance.

We give praise to God for the gift of Senator Victor Umeh in this critical era of our nation's history. The glory of Aguluzigbo, pride of Anaocha, hope of Anambra and icon of true Igboness. His voice is treasured not only for the aptness but also for the rarity of the wisdom often demonstrated.

From practice of his profession as renowned Estate Surveyor and Valuer where he earned the Fellowship of the Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, to venturing into theatre of politics where he became the Treasurer of PDP Anambra state chapter and subsequently, National Chairman of APGA; leading the party through major breakthroughs and the crux of what it has been till the present. Within same era, he attended the National Conference in 2014 where he became an extraordinary participant, agitating/canvassing for the resolution of the fundamental problems of the nation; equity and fairness for all parts of the Country. His election to the Senate however, became the icing on the cake, a beautiful opportunity to contribute directly in the tinkering of the system of governance and expanding the horizon for his good gestures aimed at elevating the less privileged people academically, economically and socially.

For his quest for a functional society where basic needs of people are provided, he toiled collaboratively with Mr Peter Obi who was Labour Party's Presidential Candidate in the 2023 General Elections in which he also contested the Anambra Central Senatorial Election and won significantly.

As Member of the 8th Senate, his reelection in 2023 was a clear manifestation of grace and the yearnings of the people of Anambra Central for the return and continuation of his pragmatic and people-oriented representation which has yielded gainful impacts in the lives of constituents and numerous critical projects in communities across the Seven Local Government Areas in the Constituency. Indeed, he is a paragon in 10th Senate.

A renowned philanthropist, Senator Umeh shares his God-given resources with the poor and hungry especially in making education attainable for the less privileged. Founder and sole financier of Victor Umeh Education Foundation ( VUMEF); a leading Education Foundation in Anambra state which has produced hundreds of graduates in various degrees both in undergraduate and post graduate programmes. A devout Christian. In effort to support the Church and the spread of the Gospel, he built and furnished, a gigantic Catholic church in Adazi-Nnukwu, Awka Diocese and another one in a remote village of Nkimichi, Mamfe Diocese in Cameroon.

To further demonstrate his love for Education, he reintroduced the Constituency Scholarship Programme which he invented in 2018 thus, Thirty Seven Million Naira (37,000,000) was distributed to 224 students in Anambra Central already enrolled in the Scholarship Scheme and would continue until they graduate from the University. Additionally, schools within Anambra Central are among the priorities in his Constituency projects; giving them a facelift and enhancing proper learning environment for better Education of young people.

Besides empowering the people through Education, Senator Umeh also diversified his investment; from distribution of food palliatives to ndị Anambra Central (129 metric tonnes /129,000 kilogram of rice) to training and empowerment of farmers to enhance food production and exterminate hunger.

Owing to his robust and visionary participation in the Senate, several projects has been initiated within and outside Anambra Central among which is the recently approved reconstruction of the Eastern Rail Line by the Federal Government. A course he has championed from the 8th Senate.

Enumerating all his good deeds would be unnecessarily elongating this piece because they are in public knowledge but according to the Igbo adage that says: "ka onye si eme ka ekwe si akpọ ya" ( a man is addressed according to his deeds): the life of Senator Victor Chinonyelum Umeh has been decorated with honors and colors some of which are: the conferment of National Award of Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the Federal Government of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations ( FNIPR) and as a devoted Knight of St. John International, he earned the Pope's admiration and was decorated by the Catholic Church as a Papal Knight of Saint Sylvester (KSS). The Senator can barely keep count of his honors and titles as he has earned recognitions and traditional titles from numerous organizations and communities within and outside Anambra State including Shinkafi Emirate in Zamfara state where he was conferred with "Jagaban Shinkafi."

Senator Victor Umeh is happily married to Lady Prisca Umeh (Osodieme) and the marriage is blessed with amazing children.

To our dear Celebrant, our Leader, our Mentor and Father, Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh OFR, Ohamadike Ndigbo, we are super proud to be associated with you. As we celebrate your 63rd birthday, we are grateful to God for the wonderful things He has done in you and through you in the past 63 years of your life, and for the greater things He will still do through you.

May you continue to enjoy the goodness of God and the abundance of His grace as you continue to live for many more years to fulfil even greater purposes of your life.

Happy Birthday Ohamadike Ndigbo!
Happy Birthday Mmagha Ndigbo!
