As the captain of my team in the ongoing Delta State Councillors Solidarity Cup, I had the privilege of leading Oshimili South to a well-deserved victory against Oshimili North.

The match was highly competitive and ended in a 2–2 draw at full time after both teams put up a strong and determined performance. With no winner after regulation time, the game proceeded to a penalty shootout to determine the victor.

Our goalkeeper emerged as the hero of the day, making two crucial saves against Oshimili North’s penalty kicks. His outstanding performance secured the victory for Oshimili South, bringing great pride to the team after a hard-fought encounter.

As the Leader of the Legislative Arm of Oshimili South Local Government Council, I had the privilege of presiding over the first plenary of the year 2026. The session commenced with an opening prayer and praise session, during which we collectively thanked God for the gift of a new year and His continued guidance. I formally welcomed all Honourable members to the House, and we engaged in fruitful deliberations on developments and happenings within our communities during the festive period.
I commended the commitment and contributions of the Honorable Members present for a productive day’s sitting. I also used the opportunity to remind them that the Legislative arm is the backbone of democratic governance and urge us to approach our duties with diligence, maturity, and a deep sense of responsibility.
I wish us a productive, peaceful, and successful Legislative Year.
