Posted by: richng BREAKING: MRDD Chairman In Delta Withdraws From IPAC Election, Supports Afam of APGA
His withdrawal speech as obtained by our reporters below.
" I REFUSE TO BE USED AS A BARGAINING CHIP FOR POLITICAL SETTLEMENT, SLEAZE & APPOINTMENT".
Fellow colleagues, I greet u all. Firstly, I want to appreciate everyone that has contributed to the vibrancy on this loop by way of campaigns, slogans, etc in support of one candidate or the other. It has taken me painstaking considerations within me & also in consultation with my trusted confidants to arrive at this decision. You will all agree with me that the forthcoming IPAC elections has generated so much bad blood & tension within our fold which as far as am concerned is needless. IPAC elections shouldn't be do or die, neither should it be a winner take all contest. It is in view of this tense atmosphere, for peace to reign & primarily in view of my caption, " I REFUSE TO BE USED AS BARGAINING CHIP FOR POLITICAL SETTLEMENT, SLEAZE & APPOINTMENT" that I Engr Johnson Oritsegbemi Ajeboghuku, state Chairman MRDD, has decided to withdraw from the IPAC chairmanship elections slated for Nov 2019. Furthermore, I have also decided to return to the political family of my friend, the indefatigable & politically erudite Chairman of APGA, Mr. Afam Enomokwu. I sincerely regret any emotional inconveniences & disappointment this may cause my teaming supporters, but accept responsibility for any backlash that may arise from my withdrawal. There is indeed more than meets the eye. We are one & will remain one inspite of our political ideologies. I use this opportunity to reach out to all aggrieved in anyway to sheath their swords for the purpose of genuine reconciliation, unity & benefits of the dividends of democracy.
Yours in the struggle
