Court adjourns ADC leadership suit indefinitely.

Nigeria need courageous people as leaders, not those run when they see problem - Obi and Kwankwaso are very good example. Nigerians need leaders not runners.

Dear Nigerian security operatives,

This revealation by Musa Kamarawa is a golden opportunity to finally get to the bottom of the disappearance and alleged killing of Dadiyata.

Musa Muhammad Kamarawa, who served as an SSA to a former governor, has now made a very weighty claim publicly, alleging that Dadiyata was killed in his presence. Such a statement cannot be ignored, brushed aside, or treated as ordinary political talk. It demands a thorough, transparent, and independent investigation.

For years, the Dadiyata case has remained one of the most painful and controversial unresolved cases in Nigeria.

Families, friends, supporters, and many Nigerians have continued to seek answers. This is why security agencies must seize this moment to establish the truth once and for all.

Sadly, some individuals such as Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode who often amplified Dadiyata’s case for political convenience may choose to remain silent now that a direct allegation has emerged. But I believe that many Nigerians will not stay silent.

The goal should not be politics or propaganda. The goal should be justice, clarity, and closure. If crimes were committed, those responsible must face justice. If some people were wrongly accused over the years, they also deserve to be cleared publicly.

Nigeria deserves the truth about Dadiyata.

Senator representing the Kaduna North Senatorial District, Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha on Thursday dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, who presided over plenary read Mustapha’s letter of defection on the floor.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said that it will comply with the Federal High Court ruling that halted state congresses.

The party stated that, in view of the High Court’s position, it would not be conducting any state congress and directed that all subsisting state executives would continue to function until further developments permit a different approach.

The party also called on its members to disregard any scheduled congresses at this point, describing them as machinations of agents of destabilisation.

The party said those agents only seek to create confusion within the party and must be rebuked. This was contained in a statement by the ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who emphasised that “the attention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been drawn to a purported plan by some individuals to commence congresses in certain states.

I’ve now collected my nomination form to be the ADC’s presidential flagbearer.

I am running because Nigeria deserves better. And because the ADC is the only vehicle through which we can deliver a safer and prosperous Nigeria.

THERE’S NO SHAKING, I AM STILL IN ADC

Following recent developments within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), particularly after the recent decisions of the Supreme Court and the exit of some prominent members of the party over alleged endless court cases, it has become imperative for me to make certain clarifications. While the departure of these members is regrettable, their reasons for leaving, in my candid opinion, appear rooted in uncertainty in the pursuit of personal political ambitions or an unwillingness to participate in a healthy and competitive democratic contest.

The decisions of the Supreme Court in the trio of cases involving the PDP and ADC were clear, comprehensive, and far-reaching. The apex court extensively addressed the issue of judicial interference in the internal affairs of political parties and dismissed as unnecessary and irrelevant the restorative or protective orders earlier issued by the Court of Appeal. The Supreme Court also thoroughly examined the controversial phrase “return to status ante bellum,” which had become an instrument of mischief in the hands of INEC against the ADC.

My Lords carefully traced the jurisprudential history of the principle and clarified that “status ante bellum” simply means the state of affairs before the conflict or before the commencement of litigation. In doing so, the Supreme Court exposed the distortions and deliberate misinterpretations that had surrounded the concept. More importantly, the Court reaffirmed the settled legal position that courts lack jurisdiction over the internal affairs of political parties except in matters directly relating to party primaries.

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. A few hours ago, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas GCON, announced my letter of resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and my formal move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at plenary. I am now a member of the ADC, and I will be seeking re‑election to continue representing the good people of Kaduna North Federal Constituency on this platform.

I am joined in this new chapter by our respected elder, Hon. Engr. Suleiman Richifa, representing Soba, and my dear brother, Hon. Umar Ajilo, representing Makarfi/Kudan, who both defected from their previous parties to the African Democratic Congress. Together, we are building a home for progressive, people‑focused service.

This decision was not taken lightly. As a proud son of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, I am guided by courage, conviction, and the unshakable belief that our people deserve the very best. To the people of Kaduna North: our work continues, and it will not stop. We will never compromise on delivering quality representation. There is still so much to do.

By the grace of God, I will soon announce the ad hoc committee for the Primary Health Care initiative I unveiled last week. We will be equipping Primary Health Care Centres with medical supplies, starting with 1,000 syringes per PHC and other essential items. Phase I begins with two centres: Unguwar Sarki Ward and Badarawa/Malali Ward.

May Allah SWT continue to guide us as we serve the people. And may He bless Nigeria with the best leaders.

Signed
Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai
Member.
Kaduna North Federal Constituency
Chairman, Committee on Banking Regulations.
May 7, 2026.

ESG ASSOCIATION UPDATE

SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai Never Said That Power Must Remain In The South In 2027 And Never Endorsed The Movement Of HEs Mr. Peter Obi And Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso From The ADC.

Our attention has been drawn to a false messaging and deliberate misinformation making the rounds in some circles that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai said that power must remain in the South in 2027.

We have equally noticed some persons mischievously claiming that Mallam El-Rufai was ir may be behind or in support of the recent movement of HEs Mr. Peter Obi and Engr Rabiu Kwankwaso to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

None of the above is true and we, as an organisation, feel duty bound to address them, in a bid to set the records straight and to prevent the unsuspecting public from being deceived, misled ir confused.

It is a fact on public record that in 2022, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai as Governor of Kaduna State and a leading figure in both the APC and in Northern Nigeria rallied his fellow Northern APC Governors, against fierce push back, to push for the Presidency to move the South and specifically to the South West in 2023 - as a mark of honour in respect of a gentleman agreement between them and the South West - that after President Muhammadu Buhari's tenure, they would support someone from the South West. Eventually that was achieved and HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the South West became the beneficiary and the President.

However, on the 16th of April 2025, the issue was revisited when Mallam El-Rufai was pointedly asked by Mr. Charles Aniagolu on Arise Television what his position was on the vexed issue of power rotation, specifically regarding President Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid, in light of the 2022/23 developments. Mallam El-Rufai was unambiguous and crystal clear in his response - as he usually is on burning national issues.

He said interalia:

"Now, I am a private citizen. Now, I'm not sure I will be in APC in 2027. So I cannot answer that question. As a private citizen, I can afford to be reckless and say, 'you know what, we gave the southerners their chance, they said it's Tinubu. Has he done well? If he hasn't
