ANOCA PRESIDENT’S SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR THE 2026 FEAST OF THE SACRIFICE
- Dear brothers and sisters of Africa,
- Dear members of the African Olympic Movement,
- Dear athletes, young people and partners,
As we celebrate Aïd el-Kébir 2026, also known as the Feast of the Ram, I wish, on behalf of ANOCA and on my own behalf, to extend my warmest wishes to the entire Muslim community in Africa and the world over.
This great spiritual celebration reminds us of the essential values of faith, sacrifice, solidarity, sharing and hope, which values are deeply in tune with the Olympic spirit that we keep upholding through sport, education and fraternity among nations.
In a world fraught with challenges, Africa must continue to believe in its young people, its unity and its ability to transform obstacles into opportunities. Sport remains a powerful driver of peace, social cohesion and sustainable development for our continent.
As we celebrate together, I urge young people across Africa to keep alive the flame of excellence, respect and solidarity. Together, let us build a stronger, more united and forward-looking Africa.
May this feast bring peace, health, joy and prosperity to every family. Happy Aïd el-Kébir 2026 to everyone.
Long live African youth!
Long live the African Olympic Movement!
Long live a united and supportive Africa!
Hon. Mustapha BERRAF
