CROSS RIVER SPEAKER INAUGURATES LOC OF FIVE MILLION SOUTHERN ENDORSEMENT RALLY FOR TINUBU IN CALABAR
The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Elvert Ayambem, has inaugurated the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the upcoming Five Million Southern Endorsement Rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The mega rally, organised by an independent campaign group, 4ward With Bola Tinubu 2027 ICG Official , is scheduled to take place on 27th November 2025 in Calabar, the Cross River State capital. It is expected to attract participants from the 17 southern states across Nigeria.
While inaugurating the LOC, Speaker Ayambem said, "It is very obvious and evident that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited the country that was almost at its precipice, and then within a span of two years, a lot has been put aright.
"In Cross River State, we will support in totality from our heart to preach the gospel of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's return come 2027."
The Speaker was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Sylvester Agabi, member representing Etung, Hon Kingsley Ntui, member representing Yala 1, Hon. Brain Odey, and member representing Obubra 2, Hon. Egbe Jebengo.
Earlier, the Director General of Forward with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Comr. Ikpen Ilefa Peter , in his remarks, explained the motive behind the southern mobilisation. He said, "From the south, we have decided to take the bull by the horn to lead this campaign because the maxim always says 'charity begins at home'.
"That is why we are all gathered here to inaugurate this local organising committee specifically for Cross River State towards the mobilisation for the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 27th November 2025."
During the event, chairmen and secretaries of the various subcommittees were formally sworn in by Barr Victor Agba.
