CDCFIB PARTICIPATES IN ICPC PEER REVIEW ROUND-TABLE ON ETHICS AND INTEGRITY COMPLIANCE

The Secretary to the Board, Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin (Rtd.), participated in a one-day Peer Review Round-Table on the Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard (EICS) round-table alongside Chairman of the Board’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), Head of Finance and Account Department, Head of Legal Department and Head of Press respectively.

The programme, organized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), was held on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, at Rockview Hotel, Abuja.

The round-table session with the theme “Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme,” provided a veritable platform for peer review, experience sharing and strengthening institutional mechanisms for ethics, integrity and anti-corruption compliance.

The participation of the CDCFIB leadership and ACTU underscores the Board’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, ethical conduct and compliance with anti-corruption standards in the discharge of its mandate.

The Board further wishes to state that under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Ministry has continued to pursue a clear vision of institutional reform, transparency, innovation, and improved service delivery across the agencies under its supervision.

The Minister's commitment to professionalism, accountability, and citizen-centred governance remains focused on strengthening the nation's internal security architecture and enhancing public confidence in the services.

Applicants and the general public are urged to rely only on the official CDCFIB communication channels for authentic information regarding the recruitment exercise as well as other Board activities.

PUBLIC NOTICE: DISINFORMATION ON CDCFIB RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

The attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has been drawn to false information on the ongoing recruitment exercise being circulated across various channels, particularly social media platforms.

To set the record straight and prevent confusion among the general public, the Board wishes to state as follows:

The public is advised to exercise caution and verify all information online. Misleading messages concerning the ongoing recruitment exercise are disruptive and capable of undermining the aspirations of genuine applicants.

The Board is taking all necessary steps to identify and prosecute individuals or groups responsible for creating and disseminating false information. The spread of unauthorized and misleading information is a criminal offense. Offenders will be brought to book and sanctioned in accordance with extant laws.

This serves as a final warning to all social media users and account holders involved in propagating falsehoods relating to the ongoing recruitment exercise. The Board is collaborating with relevant security and law enforcement agencies to monitor and address all cases of misinformation. Violators will be prosecuted accordingly.

Applicants and stakeholders are strongly advised to rely ONLY on the official CDCFIB recruitment portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and verified Board communication channels for authentic updates.

The Board appeals to the public to report suspicious content and refrain from sharing unverified information.
