JRB donates textbooks to Schools in Abuja to celebrate 2026 children's day
The Joint Revenue Board (JRB) has donated books to four public primary schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, to mark the international children's day 2026.
The books donated during a sensitisation and enlightenment visit to the schools were, the official gazetted copies of the Nigerian Tax Laws, Personal Income Tax Guidelines, and "The Secret of the Good Land - A Foundational Tax Education Book".
The sensitisation visit and donation of book are part of the Board's early tax education initiative aimed to promote reading culture, and introduce the knowledge of tax and the role of taxation in nation-building to the children at their early education level.
The schools that benefitted from the initiative were, Army Children’s School, Maitama, Model Primary School, Bwari, LEA Primary School, Wuse Zone 2, and LEA Primary School, Kuje.
Speaking on the visit and donation by the JRB, the Headmistress of Army Children's School, Maitama, Mrs. Mubo Alaimoh, and her counterpart at LEA Primary School, Wuse, Mrs. Ruqqayat, the Head Teacher of LEA Primary School, Kuje, Mr. Yahaya Shaibu, and that of Model Primary School Bwari, Mr. Josiah David, lauded the JRB for their efforts in trying to extend the knowledge of taxation to the children and assured that the children will put the books and knowledge gained to good use in as they grow and aspire to be model citizens of Nigeria in future.
