When a man with true leadership qualities is entrusted with power, his first priority is to improve the lives of his people. This is the standard demonstrated by Hon. Rima Shawulu Kwewum during his tenure in office.

Hon. Kwewum initiated several landmark projects aimed at long-term development for the people of Takum, Ussa, Donga, and Yangtu SDA.

One of the flagship projects is the construction of a Gigantic Education Resource Center, conceived with the vision of upgrading it into a higher institution of learning.

These are capital projects that require more than one tenure to complete. Thankfully, most of them are now at advanced stages.

In view of the progress already made, it is in the interest of our communities to support Hon. Kwewum’s return to the National Assembly. This will enable him to complete ongoing projects and initiate new ones that will further improve the quality of life for our people.

The task of nation-building is continuous. We must elect representatives with the vision, experience, and commitment to see projects through to completion.

Hon. Rima Shawulu Kwewum is the most visionary leader Taraba South has ever had, and arguably, the entire Taraba State.

While serving as a Member of the House of Representatives in the National Assembly, he initiated the establishment of two major projects: a Groundnut Processing Factory and a Cassava Processing Factory.

He also built an Education Resource Center to support learning in the constituency.

Beyond projects, Hon. Rima was very active in lawmaking. Out of the 16 bills sponsored by all House of Representatives members from Taraba State during his time in office, he sponsored 13 of them.
One of the key bills he sponsored was for the establishment of the Lissam College of Education.

Although none of these projects have been fully completed or commissioned yet, they stand as clear proof of his commitment to human and infrastructural development in his constituency. His goal was to reduce the high rate of unemployment and create opportunities for his people.

Hon. Rima Shawulu remains the face of democracy in Taraba South — an elite politician who understands the realities on ground and knows how to address them.

The dream he has for his people, seen in his efforts to build factories and education centers, is a long-term vision that deserves to be pursued to completion.
He deserves another chance, another term, to finish what he started and to do even more for the growth and betterment of his people.

THE BEST POLITICIAN I'VE EVER KNOWN 👇

Hon. Rima Shawulu Kwewum facilitated the approval of AGSMEIS loans - a Federal Government intervention programme - for over 400 constituents.

The impact is direct and measurable. Beneficiaries received between ₦500,000 and ₦9.5 million, depending on the nature of their business and the capital required. Some accessed ₦500k to ₦2m to scale small trades. Others secured ₦3m to ₦7m for mid-sized enterprises. A few received up to ₦9.5m to expand established ventures.

This wasn’t just cash disbursed. It was capital invested directly into real businesses across the constituency.

The irony is that some beneficiaries who mismanaged the funds are now criticizing Hon. Rima. Others, despite making clear progress because of the loan, have joined the criticism as well.

It’s a familiar pattern in public service: impact often outpaces perception. But the real measure isn’t noise - it’s the businesses running, the jobs created, and the families lifted. Those results will speak long after the criticism fades.

That’s why the work must continue. Hon. Rima is asking for your mandate in the forthcoming election to return to the House and build on the foundation already laid for Takum, Ussa, Donga, and Yangtu.

Rima Shawulu: It’s Not About the Chamber, It’s About the People

Senators and House of Representatives members share the same core mandate: to represent their people. The difference is scale. Senators speak for an entire senatorial district, while House members focus on a single federal constituency.

But beyond titles and chambers, what truly matters is purpose. A candidate’s vision for their constituents weighs more than the chamber they sit in. Being in the Red Chamber doesn’t automatically mean you’ll fight harder than someone in the Green Chamber. Aspiration, not location, defines impact.

Going to the Senate after serving in the House isn’t moving up; and staying in the House isn’t going back. Progress isn’t measured by the chamber, but by results. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila spent over two decades in the House of Representatives, and his work since 1999 speaks for itself. Longevity, combined with the trust of the people, is how a novice becomes a master.

That’s why Hon. Rima Shawulu Kwewum is seeking a return to the House of Representatives. His goal is clear: to serve and to rise to become the next Minority Leader. With the right backing at the presidency and the renewed support of his people, he’s positioned to do even more for Takum, Ussa, Donga, and Yangtu Special Development Area. It’s not about climbing chambers. It’s about delivering for the people who put you there.
