"Different Doesn’t Mean Useless”
In a bright meadow full of wildflowers, there lived a small bee named Bimi. Bimi was known for being hardworking, buzzing from flower to flower every day, collecting nectar for her hive.
Not far from the meadow lived “the other”—a quiet butterfly named Luma.
Now, Bimi and Luma were very different.
Bimi worked all day, rarely resting.
Luma drifted gently through the air, dancing from flower to flower, stopping often to admire the beauty around her.
One day, Bimi saw Luma resting on a sunflower.
“Why do you waste so much time?” Bimi buzzed. “You don’t collect nectar like me. You don’t help a hive. What do you even do?”
Luma smiled softly. “I help in my own way.”
Bimi didn’t understand. To her, only hard work mattered.
Days passed, and the meadow began to change. Some flowers started to fade, and fewer bees were visiting certain areas. Bimi noticed something strange—the flowers Luma visited often stayed brighter and lasted longer.
Curious, Bimi followed Luma.
As Luma moved, she carried pollen from one flower to another, helping them grow and bloom again. She wasn’t rushing. She wasn’t stressed. But she was still helping life continue.
Bimi realized something important.
Not everyone helps in the same way.
The next time Bimi saw Luma, she said, “I’m sorry. I thought only my way mattered.”
Luma replied gently, “Different doesn’t mean useless.'
From that day on, Bimi worked as always—but she also took moments to notice the beauty around her. And she never again judged “the other” without understanding them first.
Moral: Everyone has a role to play, even if it looks different from yours.
