Flashback to our Youth Advisory Committee’s Youth Pulse Dialogue 📍

We brought the voice of the Lagos street, and young people from across Nigeria, into the room.

Our Youth Advisory Committee shared findings from its Youth Pulse Survey, bringing together representatives from government, diplomatic missions and civil society to listen, discuss and reflect on the priorities of young Nigerians.

One message stood out: youth energy is a make-or-break element of nation building. Engaging young people isn’t optional, it’s essential to the country’s progress.

At the Embassy, we believe meaningful progress starts with listening. We will continue working with partners to support spaces where young people can contribute to the conversations and solutions that affect their lives. Thank you to everyone who graced the occasion.

What happens after the spotlight?

As we look forward to revealing the winner, we look back at the journey of Michel of Ecotutu, our 2025 Agropreneur of the Year.

Since then, his work in cold storage solutions has continued to address one of the sector’s key challenges: post-harvest loss.

His journey reflects an important part of the mission’s value —supporting entrepreneurs not just at a moment in time, but as they grow, adapt, and scale their impact.

Kicking off the week with a look back at the start of the 2025 Horti Trade Mission journey 🌱

As we look ahead to 2026, we’re revisiting the visit to NIHORT during the agrofood fair, where participants saw how research, policy, and practice come together to shape horticulture systems. Platforms like these show how local expertise is turning knowledge into practical solutions.

It’s also a reminder of what the mission is about: creating space for exchange between researchers, businesses, and practitioners to better understand what works and where.
