Blooming Heritage School Visits China Cultural Centre for
Chinese Spring Festival Excursion
On February 25, 2026, Blooming Heritage School embarked on an educational visit to the China Cultural Centre in Nigeria for a Chinese Spring Festival experience, aimed at fostering the enduring friendship between China and Nigeria.
The visit commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Ekpety Edi-ima, Administrative Officer of the Centre, who led an engaging interactive presentation. Her session covered the Centre's activities, Chinese culture, martial arts, tourism, traditional attire, cuisine, and the significance of the Spring Festival. A particular highlight was a captivating video featuring Chinese Spring Festival Gala martial arts performances, where young martial artists interacted seamlessly with robots—a fusion of tradition and technology that excited and amazed the young audience.
Following the presentation, Mr. Zakari guided the students on a tour of the Centre's facilities. Interactive cultural sessions were then led by Ms. Zhang Yaping, Ms. Ekpety Edi-ima, and Mr. Shi Changqiang. Students enthusiastically tried their hands at Chinese calligraphy, writing auspicious characters such as "吉" (Jí, lucky),"福" (Fú, fortune) and "春" (Chūn, spring). They also engaged in a creative exercise using leaves and flowers to form the Chinese character for happiness and good wishes. As part of the celebration, children wrote their New Year aspirations on a dedicated wishes wall, expressing hopes for academic success, health, and prosperity.
In his closing remarks, Centre Director Mr. Yang Jianxing welcomed the students to the Year of the Horse, explaining that the horse symbolizes strength, courage, and progress. He extended warm wishes for their health and future success.
The event concluded with a gift presentation to the school, teachers, and students, marking a memorable and culturally enriching Spring Festival celebration that deepened mutual understanding and friendship.
