GOVERNMENT HOUSE, KATSINA

PRESS RELEASE

Governor Radda Felicitates Tinubu on APC Presidential Ticket, Lauds Katsina Massive Votes.

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has extended warm congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the successful conclusion of the party's nationwide presidential primaries.

Governor Radda described the outcome as a resounding affirmation of President Tinubu's leadership and a clear signal that Nigerians are ready to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

"Mr. President, your emergence is not a surprise — it is a verdict. Nigerians, through their party delegates, have spoken with one clear voice, and Katsina State was proud to be part of that chorus," Governor Radda said.

Katsina State returned an impressive 467,003 votes for President Tinubu in the primaries — a figure the Governor attributed to the genuine conviction, discipline, and unwavering loyalty of APC members across the State.

Commending the party faithful in Katsina, Governor Radda said their participation was a testament to their belief in the progressive vision that the APC and President Tinubu represent.

"I am deeply proud of our party members in Katsina. They did not just cast votes — they made a statement. Their massive turnout speaks to their confidence in Mr. President's capacity to continue delivering for Nigeria," he said.

The Governor reaffirmed Katsina State's full and enthusiastic support for President Tinubu's re-election bid, pledging that the State would remain a pillar of strength for the party as the 2027 general election draws closer.

He equally saluted the national leadership of the APC for conducting a transparent, orderly, and credible primary process, describing the exercise as a further demonstration of the party's democratic maturity.

Governor Radda urged all APC members — in Katsina and across Nigeria — to close ranks, sustain their energy, and work together to ensure a decisive victory for President Tinubu and the party in 2027.

Uba Sani: We Have Restored Hope to Marginalized Communities in Kaduna state

Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has declared that his administration has restored hope to marginalized communities across the state through inclusive governance and people oriented policies.

The governor made the remarks during the 2026 APC gubernatorial primary election affirmation, where he highlighted key achievements of his administration in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, security, and youth empowerment.

According to Governor Uba Sani, communities that were previously neglected are now benefiting from the dividends of democracy as a result of deliberate efforts by his administration to extend development projects to hard to reach areas of the state.

He emphasized that agriculture remains a major pillar of Kaduna State’s economy, contributing over 47 percent to the state’s Gross Domestic Product, noting that his administration demonstrated its commitment to the sector by allocating 13 percent of the state budget to agriculture.

Speaking on security, the governor said Kaduna State has not witnessed any ethno religious crisis in the last three years, attributing the achievement to his administration’s commitment to justice, fairness, and inclusivity.

“Without justice, there can be no peace,” the governor stated, while reaffirming that his administration belongs to every citizen irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political affiliation.

On youth development, Governor Uba Sani disclosed that the state government will continue to initiate programmes aimed at creating opportunities for young people. He cited the establishment of three vocational training centres in Rigachikun, Soba, and Samaru Kataf as part of efforts to equip youths with practical skills for self-reliance and economic growth.

The governor also extended a hand of friendship to members of other political parties in the state, stressing that all stakeholders share a common responsibility in the collective struggle to move Kaduna State forward.

He congratulated all the party’s flag bearers emerging from the primary process and urged them not to take the confidence reposed in them by the party and th
