Strengthening accountability. Enhancing oversight. Improving primary health care.

The BHCPF Ministerial Task Force, in collaboration with the ICPC, convened a technical review meeting to assess and revise the BHCPF/ICPC Tracking Tool. The review focused on aligning the tool with the BHCPF Guidelines 2.0, harmonizing compliance indicators, strengthening evidence based verification, and finalizing the methodology for the upcoming joint field monitoring exercise.

Strengthening accountability. Improving primary healthcare delivery.

The BHCPF Ministerial Oversight Committee conducted monitoring and on-the-spot check visits across 14 states to assess the implementation and performance of BHCPF-supported services.

A total of 84 Primary Health Care facilities were spot-checked, with engagements held with Commissioners for Health, state agencies, focal officers, Ward Development Committees (WDCs), facility staff, and beneficiaries.

The visits provided firsthand insights into service delivery, infrastructure, commodity availability, and community impact at the PHC level.

Findings from the exercise will further guide improvements in accountability, decision-making, and healthcare service delivery across Nigeria.

“The coming of BHCPF has impacted on this facility by 100%. You will be amazed at the inflow during antenatal days and immunization... the inclusion of a delivery system will further improve utilization.”

— WDC Tashar Basa, Kano State.

Together, we are building stronger systems for a healthier Nigeria.
