SPOKESPERSON OF H.E. ATIKU ABUBAKAR, CONVENER OF MGG, UNVEILS UNIFIED CORE MESSAGE AND STRATEGIC MEDIA PLAN AT TOWN HALL MEETING 🇳🇬

_Abuja, FCT_ – At the recent ADC All Support Group Forum Town Hall Meeting held at the Yar'adua Centre, the Spokesperson of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar and Convener of MOVEMENT FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE, MR. KENNETH OKONKWO, addressed party leaders, stakeholders, and the media on the importance of message discipline and strategic communication in opposition politics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, the Spokesperson warmly welcomed dignitaries in attendance, including the First Lady, Hajiya T**i Abubakar INCOMING.
In his address, he emphasized that:
_“In politics, especially opposition politics, message is the campaign.”_
KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE ADDRESS:
1. Message as the Foundation of Victory
The Spokesperson stated that while money, structure, and technology are important, it is a _“compelling message, repeated consistently and credibly, in a language that people understand, that will persuade people.”_
He added: _“You can take a horse to the stream, but you cannot force it to drink.”_
Referencing past elections, he noted that voters collected cash gifts of ₦50,000 and ₦15,000 but were not persuaded due to the absence of a compelling message from the incumbent government.
2. Role of the Spokesperson
He clarified that his role goes beyond media engagement:
_“I am not here just as a mere spokesperson. I am here as a custodian of a message.”_
3. Strategic Media Plan
He announced the unveiling of a unified core message, a strategic media plan, and the delivery of campaign messaging in local languages to ensure pe*******on across all demographics and regions.
4. Operating Environment
The Spokesperson outlined the challenges of operating in a political environment _“where our opponent controls all strategic institutions, where they have greater access to the traditional media, where they deploy propaganda to distort our words, to use it against us, and they try to define us.”_
He stressed the need for a detailed strategic plan rather than mere slogans to counter these challenges.

The address concluded with a call for unity, discipline, and renewed focus on grassroots communication as preparations continue toward 2027.
