I, Comrade City Evans, National Coordinator of the G37 Political Support Group, respectfully call on His Excellency, Ambassador Oji Ngofa, to formally declare his interest to contest for the position of Senator representing the good people of Rivers South East Senatorial District and Rivers State at large.

Ambassador Oji Ngofa stands out as a distinguished leader whose wealth of experience, proven competence, and unwavering commitment to public service make him exceptionally qualified for this critical role.

His remarkable track record speaks volumes, having served meritoriously as a two-time Chairman of Eleme Local Government Area, Deputy National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Statement On Our Position

The leadership and members of the G37 Political Support Group strongly believe that Siminalayi Fubara has a responsibility to seek a second term in office to consolidate the progress and stability achieved under his administration.

We view his continued leadership as essential to sustaining development and fulfilling the people's expectations who have placed their trust in him. As committed supporters, we urge His Excellency to heed the overwhelming call for continuity.

While we remain loyal and supportive, it is our position that stepping away from seeking re-election would be deeply disappointing to the countless supporters who have invested their confidence in his leadership.

Group Urges Nigerians To Support INEC Chairman, Commends Tinubu

A political advocacy group, G37 Political Support Group, has called on Nigerians to rally behind the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),Professor Joash Amupitan urging the public to avoid what it described as unnecessary distractions that could undermine the electoral body’s work.

The National Coordinator of the group, Prince Evans City, made the appeal while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Sunday .

He stressed the importance of public confidence in INEC, noting that the commission plays a critical role in safeguarding Nigeria’s democracy through the conduct of free, fair, and credible elections.

According to him, constant criticism and unverified claims against the INEC Chairman could erode trust in the institution and distract it from its constitutional responsibilities.

“We urge Nigerians to remain focused and support the leadership of INEC rather than engage in actions that may create unnecessary tension or distractions,” he said.

Prince City also commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing what he described as an enabling environment for all political parties to operate and thrive without hindrance.

The group further called on political actors and stakeholders to act responsibly and channel grievances through lawful and appropriate means, emphasizing that a stable electoral system is vital for national development.

G37 Political Support Group Holds Fruitful Engagement with Apara Kingdom Royal Prince in Port Harcourt

The Board of Trustees Chairman of the G37 Political Support Group, Chief Comrade Israel Ichebadu Samuel, alongside the Rivers State Youth Leader, Comrade Ndamati Wilson, and the State Non-Indigenes Women Leader, Mrs. Peace Daniel, recently held a fruitful and cordial meeting with the Royal Prince of Apara Kingdom, Obiakpor, Port Harcourt, Prince Chimenem Wodo.

Prince Chimenem Wodo is the first son of His Royal Majesty, King Ambassador Anderson Amadi Worlu-Wobo, JP, DSSRS, Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding, focusing on unity, youth inclusion, and the strengthening of collaboration between political stakeholders and traditional institutions in Rivers State. Discussions emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement, peace, and collective efforts toward sustainable development across communities.
