Looking back on July 2026, it rained in Melaka almost every one or two days.
There are good sides, and there are difficult ones.
The good news: the sweltering heat has finally broken, and the weather feels so much more pleasant. The challenge: outdoor activities are often disrupted, and flooding has occurred in many areas.
Even so, we remain deeply grateful.
Because this past July, we successfully held 1 indoor and 3 public sessions of our free Three Adjustments practice — Adjust Body, Breath, and Mind. All four gatherings concluded beautifully.
Looking back on these sessions, what touches me most is not only how diligently and earnestly each participant showed up — but that you have truly begun to listen and speak with your own body.
Through this ancient practice of harmonizing body, breath, and mind, each of you has taken the time to scan your own body again and again. You have felt and uncovered health concerns you never noticed before.
This is something truly wonderful.
Because only when we first become aware of an issue do we have the chance to truly resolve it.
The greatest danger is not that something is wrong with our body — but that we grow numb to it. We ignore small imbalances, and over time, they harden into problems far harder to undo.
Many people, when they first try these gentle movements, think: “Can something so simple really work?”
Yet once you begin practicing, you realize this is far more than physical exercise. Through simple movements, paired with breath, awareness, and proper alignment, we help the body's meridians, fascia, and muscles find flow and balance once more.
Some participants who rarely perspired at all found themselves sweating gently within just thirty minutes — all without intense exertion or difficult poses.
These experiences do more than build confidence. They remind me deeply:
Most of us do not lack the body's power to heal — we simply have not paused long enough to notice, or to awaken that power.
This is the heart of why I continue to organize these gatherings.
There is another reason I keep going, too.
Over the years, I have watched people around me grow older.
Those who once stood straight begin to hunch. Those already bent curve lower with each passing year, shrinking in stature.
Some are not yet old, yet already depend on daily medicine — and as the years pass, the list of pills grows longer, not shorter.
What pains me most is that many are not just “aging” — they are slowly losing function, one system at a time.
Some undergo surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy. Some visit the doctor once a month; others many times each week, spending entire days in hospital waiting rooms.
Some lie bedridden for years. Some pass away before their forties, leaving families behind. Some lose the ability to walk after a stroke. Some struggle with depression, and lose hope entirely.
Each time I see this, my heart aches.
But more than sadness, it makes me ask:
Beyond words of comfort and sympathy — can we offer something that truly helps? Can we bring even a little relief to the body, and a little light to the heart?
This is why I believe so deeply:
Prevention is always better than cure. Awareness is always better than regret.
Not everyone will be ready to receive what we share.
And that is all right.
We can never truly change anyone. Only they can change themselves.
When someone is not yet ready, even the finest teaching, the kindest guide, or the wisest practice will remain nothing more than a passing encounter.
So I do not try to convince anyone, or persuade anyone.
I simply do what I can: create a space that is warm, sincere, and encouraging — and wait patiently for those who are truly ready to begin.
If one person leaves our gatherings needing fewer medicines; if one stands a little taller; if one breathes a little more freely; if one rediscovers health, and trust in life itself…
Then every moment of effort has been worth it.
If this vision resonates with you — if you wish not only to care for your own well-being, but also to walk gently beside others — you are always welcome to join us.
If you live far away, and struggle with illness, stress, or long-term imbalance — and would like to explore this practice of harmonizing body, breath, and mind — please reach out to us privately.
We make no promises of miracles, nor do we guarantee the same results for everyone. But we are happy to share what we have learned, and walk alongside anyone ready to know their body more deeply, to build awareness, and to find balance and vitality once more.
Together, let us keep this precious wisdom alive — and pass it on to the generations to come.
Next time, I hope you will join us:
Relax the body.
Release the weight.
Live with an open heart.
Let us adjust body, breath, and mind — and find again the vitality we were meant to have, and the peace we have long missed.
Health can be shared. Kindness can be passed on.
