Crafting Mexico CMX is short documentary aimed at preserving and promoting local and indigenous artisans in Mexico. Live now on indiegogo: https://igg.me/at/craftingmexico

Mexico is home to a colorful, diverse and vibrant community full of history, family and tradition. Our culture was founded and preserved by the hands, histories and sacrifices of everyday Mexican families, whose work and craft weave our country and all its beauty together. Yet their stories often go untold. Their voices are buried under corporate and government displacement, discrimination and me

dia misrepresentation. This lead us to ask the following questions:

-What's the story behind each artisan and his or her craft?

-What impact is the changing global landscape having on our country’s culture and values?

-How does globalization impact local artisans and their families and what can we do about it? Crafting Mexico has the purpose to create a documentary film and a platform for marginalized voices, mainly that of Indigenous artisans and small entrepreneurs to tell their stories and to raise awareness on the long-standing history, culture and tradition of Mexican artisans and their handicrafts. The project is actually having a Indiegogo campaign with the purpose of creating such documentary. Besides that, all the stories will be uploaded in digital platform, like the Foursquare of the Mexican Artisans, where you will find the artisan profile, their stories, their products, hours. We accept the challenge of creating a bridge between us and the amazing voices of artisans of Mexico. A social movement aimed at preserving and promoting local and indigenous culture and wisdom by honoring and celebrating the lives of ordinary people from across Mexico. Help us share their stories, but mainly
Help us Craft a Change.
