Our determined parents of Tanyadira Care group used pails and watering cans to irrigate their maize—and they produced big, healthy cobs. Their hard work is proof of what’s possible.

, Shaping Futures.

Today, our team visited Dzenje Community Day Secondary School as part of our Education intervention, and it was an incredible experience. We distributed to the 16 girls, aiming to promote their attendance even in times of menstruation period and boost their performance in school. We believe that every girl deserves to pursue her dreams without barriers, and this is a small step towards making that happen.

The girls share their career aspirations - they want to be teachers, nurses, engineers, bank managers, lawyers, journalists. It's amazing to see such ambition and potential in these young minds. Our team had a fantastic time interacting with these future leaders and encouraging them to stay focused on their goals.

A big thank you to everyone who made this initiative possible🙌. Let's continue to support and empower these bright girls to reach their full potential. Together, we can make a difference

, Not Harder 🌾

Today, we had training to parents on making Mbeya fertilizer - a cost-effective, hybrid organic-inorganic fertilizer developed in Malawi to boost crop yields for smallholder farmers. It's made by fermenting a mix of animal manure, wood ash, maize bran, & a bit of chemical fertilizer (NPK or UREA) for 21 days. The resources used in this training were all provided by the community members themselves. Proving sense of ownership and sustainability. Big thanks to our Agricultural official for facilitating. 💚 Let's keep nurturing our land & our future.

, One Tree at a Time 🌳

On Friday last week, we planted 200 trees at Mtepuwa Primary School. 🌳 This is part of our ongoing efforts to conserve the environment and promote sustainability in our community.

Big thanks to the Headteacher, teachers, learners, Village Development Committee, Chief, Forestry department, and everyone who joined hands to make this happen. Your support made the work easier and more fun 😊. Together, we are creating a greener future for Mulanje.

Yesterday, we took a moment to inspire the bright minds of Mtepuwa Primary School learners. As part of our mission to promote a hardworking spirit in education, we had an awesome education talk with the learners, sharing stories and tips to fuel their passion for learning.

It was also a follow-up visit to check on the learners we have been supporting with essential school materials like exercise books and pens. We are happy to see they're putting these resources to good use.

Big shout out to our rockstar male parents!! 💥

Nachikodowa CBO recently met with these amazing dads to discuss their progress in Village Savings and Loans, Care groups, and childcare at home. And guess what? They are crushing it.💪

Not only are they saving and loaning with Village Savings, but they are also stepping up at home - providing playing materials for their kids, supporting caregroups with farms and chicken rearing, and attending meetings twice a month. And to take it up a notch, they are starting their own groups to share experiences and save together.

Meet , beneficiaries of Nachikodowa CBO's livestock pass-on program.

From 2 chicks to over 100 chickens! This incredible group has achieved remarkable growth, providing eggs and chicken meat for their families and boosting their health and nutrition.

With our support and training, they've also ventured into business, selling maize and maize flour. They are now able to meet their basic needs and build a brighter future.

We are proud of their progress and grateful to our partners and donors for making it possible.

Nachikodowa CBO had a productive engagement meeting with community and government stakeholders to discuss sustainability plans for our projects. We are happy to see the commitment from our stakeholders in ensuring the long-term success of our initiatives.

The meeting was a great opportunity to share ideas and mobilize support for our projects. We are grateful to the chiefs who promised to continue monitoring care groups and Community Based Childcare Centers (CBCCs), and to those who offered land for CBCCs farming activities to support the feeding program. The agricultural official also pledged support for farming activities and encouraged local leaders to establish backyard gardens at every CBCC.

Together, we can make a lasting impact in our community. We appreciate the dedication and support of our stakeholders and look forward to contine working together to achieve our goals.
