But a spark of electrical shorting circuit in moment of time, the multimillion property turns into ashes: think about it; a clack in a building can stay years and years and get used to it whether you do the pinning exercise or plastering it’s not a big deal
There have been a lot of incidents of electrical fires everywhere recently, which both ESCOM and consumers has been pointing fingers at each other: But what is the cause of these continuance electrical fires, who is to blame? This is what is what transpired members of the electrical installers to team up and form an association (ELCAM).This association has since 1996 screened by the government actually on its role through OPC, Ministry of justice and constructional Affairs: finally, on 22nd November, 2010, it was registered as a trustee of electrical Constructors Association of Malawi by ministry of justice and constitutional Affairs. ELCAM’s interest is to see that persons engaged as electrical installers are qualified with installation permit (IPC) by MERA and NCIC and the door is open for others to become members of ELCAM who are Qualified in this field: This is the biggest opportunity to property Developers, Building Contractors who understands the electrical profession on the above requirements to choose who to engage personnel or contractor for their projects. WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF THESE ELECTRICAL FIRES? A) Substandard/poor materials
