🌍🌱 Proud Moment for DMI Environmental Club! 🇲🇼

We are delighted to announce that our former President of DMI Environmental Club, who is also a Founding Executive Officer of Tiyen Environmental Green Alliance (TEGA), has been selected as a speaker at the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA) virtual webinar.

He will be representing TEGA and Malawi as the only speaker from Malawi in this continental conversation focused on:

"Green Economy Opportunities: Cashing in on the Green Economy through Jobs, Entrepreneurship and Climate Finance."

This achievement reflects his dedication, leadership, and passion for environmental conservation and youth empowerment.

DMI Environmental Club celebrates this great milestone and wishes him success as he continues to inspire young leaders and promote sustainability beyond our university.

🌿 𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘, 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬, 𝗜𝗖𝗧, 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗘 & 𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠 – 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗗

The 𝗗𝗠𝗜 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, in collaboration with the 𝗗𝗠𝗜 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, successfully hosted the Innovation, Science, Technology, ICT, Climate & Environment Conservation Forum under the theme:

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

The forum brought together students, innovators, and climate advocates to exchange ideas and showcase innovative projects. Members of the DMI Environmental Club and DMI ICT Club presented impressive innovations, demonstrating the creativity and potential of our students.

We were honoured to host 𝗠𝗿. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗶, Founder and CEO of MI Technologies, a globally recognised innovator and clean energy champion. He inspired participants through his remarkable journey and pledged to support outstanding student innovations by connecting them with relevant authorities and stakeholders for further development.

The forum was attended by approximately 29 participants, including representatives from 𝗧𝗶𝘆𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗔) and 𝗞𝗲𝘁𝗵𝘂 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, making it a successful platform for learning, networking, and collaboration.

The DMI Environmental Club extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this event. Together, we continue to promote innovation, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.

Today, members of the DMI Environmental Club, joined by Tiyen Environmental Green Alliance (TEGA) and the Sisters, participated in a tree-planting exercise on campus as part of our commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.

This activity demonstrates the power of collaboration in protecting our environment and building a greener, healthier future. Every tree planted today is a step towards combating climate change and preserving nature for future generations.

Together, we are making a positive impact—one tree at a time! 🌳💚

Chinyalala watayacho atole ndani? 🌿

Let's be honest none of us likes studying or walking in a dirty environment. Every wrapper, bottle or piece of litter we throw on the ground makes our campus a little less beautiful and a little less welcoming.

The truth is that someone else will have to pick it up, even though it wasn't theirs to throw away. As members of the DMI family, let's show pride in our campus by doing the simple things that make a big difference.

Before you drop that waste, take a moment and find a bin. Together, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more inspiring environment for ourselves and those who come after us. 💚♻️

🌍 WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026

On 5th June 2026, the DMI Environmental Club proudly joined Tiyen Environmental Green Alliance (TEGA) and other stakeholders in commemorating World Environment Day through a clean-up exercise at Kanengo Market.

The activity brought together students, youth organizations, community members, and environmental advocates who worked hand in hand to promote a clean and healthy environment. Through collective effort, participants cleaned the market surroundings and raised awareness on the importance of environmental stewardship.

As DMI Environmental Club, we remain committed to promoting environmental conservation and encouraging sustainable practices within our communities.

Together, we can make a difference for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

Today, DMI Eco Shield proudly carried out a bottle watering activity for our trees on campus. 🌱💧
Using recycled bottles for drip irrigation, we are helping our trees receive water slowly and effectively while conserving water at the same time. This simple method supports healthy tree growth and encourages sustainable use of resources.

The activity also showed the power of teamwork, commitment, and environmental responsibility among our members. Every small action we take today helps build a greener, cleaner, and healthier campus for tomorrow.

We sincerely thank all members who participated and supported the activity. Together, we are making a difference, one tree at a time. 🌍💚
