MERA Raises Awareness on Renewable Energy at Star Private Academy
The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) today conducted a renewable energy information session at Star Private Academy in Mzuzu as part of its efforts to promote adoption of clean energy technologies.
Speaking during the event, MERA Renewable Energy Regulation Specialist, Macmillan Chisale, encouraged students to embrace renewable energy solutions as a way of protecting the environment and supporting sustainable development.
Chisale highlighted the benefits of clean energy technologies such as biogas and solar energy, noting that they provide reliable sources of energy while reducing environmental degradation.
On behalf of the school, Gracious Nkhata commended MERA for organizing the awareness campaign, describing it as an important initiative that equips students with knowledge on renewable energy and environmental conservation.
MERA remains committed to raising awareness and nurturing a culture of renewable energy adoption among students and the general public.
