Nkomo Khulekani is a seasoned development professional with over a decade of experience in development and training. He has held various positions in International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs), including Program Area Manager for Plan International, overseeing initiatives across in Zimbabwe. Khulekani holds a Master’s degree in Public Management from the National University of Science and Technology and a BSc Honors degree in Land and Water Resources Management and Agriculture from Midlands State University. His expertise includes proposal writing and resource mobilization, with significant experience working with youth-led organizations (YOLO) and youth networks in Zimbabwe. As a consortium Project Manager, he has supported grassroots youth-led organizations, helping them become equal partners in projects. His work has also involved mentoring disabled persons associations in resource mobilization. Khulekani has effectively managed multi-million-dollar programs and collaborated with major donors, including DANIDA, NORAD and other donor agents. His areas of expertise encompass community development, livelihoods, food security, and water and sanitation, making him a valuable asset for youth-led organizations seeking funding. In his recent roles, he served as Humanitarian Program Coordinator at Caritas Zimbabwe and as a Regional Resource Mobilization Officer Mentor for SAFOD, focusing on proposal development and donor engagement. Additionally, as a Partnership and Civil Society Specialist for an INGO based in Zimbabwe, he led partnership strategies and enhanced staff capacity in proposal writing and youth-led initiatives. Khulekani is dedicated to empowering youth-led organizations through training workshops, helping them secure funding and achieve sustainable development.
