Alchemy News : Alchemy at Zahar in Morocco - refunds

Hi everyone,

the status of the refunds is this :

So far,
I have sold more than half of all my personal belongings

two electric guitars, two amplifiers and a drum kit

for a total of 1300 euros

with that - I will refund
6 four day passes
to Thomas Bonora ( 4 )
Sebastian Sighell ( 1 )
Vincenzo Auteri ( 1 )

That is to show that I am not a thief
and at the very least get the refunds started
until we settle the debt that will now come to 5200
instead of 6500 euros

that sum is the amount of money we have spent on
paid advertisements in magazine Rock A Rolla and
for the very first website.

I have given to Weezevent the date of July 31st

Then, with that wire, either from our sponsor or
directly from us, they will initiate the remaining refunds
who are blocked until that wire =
the initial 6500 eur - minus the refunds done along the coming weeks

I have always remained in Marrakech without a dime
and where my new associate is providing a roof and food

My friend, at 22, brought the very first international concert in Morocco
using his own money ( the band was Gladiators ) and at his own expense
in the end - as it is often the case with challenging events

Please do not send me to a Moroccan jail where I'll be unable to pay
the total debt I have contracted estimated at around 15 000 euros
including the 6500 eur of the ticket refund to start off

Then I can settle my debt with the sponsoring of the Free festival in Marrakech
for which the Wilaya and Town house have given me a written permit this time

This means investigations by the Minister of Interior
and they found me without a criminal record.

I have never been a con expert - but I admit I am rather naive at times

On the other hand I guarantee that some of the people affiliated with joujouka
are quite experienced with suing everybody that bothers them

So
I leave it up to you
to decide wether or not I should be thrown in jail
AND in which order of priority the following refunds should be made

Alchemy news

OK - so the first refunds on the way are Ballo Delle Castagne (x1 4day Pass ) and Thomas Bonora ( x4 ) that's using all the money I have this very week - and I am preparing the next round for the next couple of weeks until I have refunded the 30 ticket holders whose money I have spent on the first website and on paid advertisement.

[[... you lie, cheat, steal....]]...
we know that this is how some people are feeling about us, but please consider that the reality of the Moroccan business is similar to a form of viral neo capitalism and many actual frauds are now feeling allowed to discredit us even further than they should.

Please keep an open mind and bear with us while we fix this situation WE are responsible for with the refunds

Of course, the above statement does not apply to Morocco as a country, as a Kimgdom, but some people in power should consider the ones , like us , who are attempting to put together a Cultural or Philanthropic project

If they could look at our bank account, they would know that we are not the rich and bored young people they thought we were.

Also calling us disorganized, not so much as naive certainly .

But passed the quasi constant deception , the incessant change of partners has led us to the day when I have met my good friend and new associate Mustapha Ait Taleb.

Now a little less than 4 weeks before everybody can get a refund.

As of today , we finally got an official authorization - fair and square - for the festival to be held in the middle of Marrakech ... thought we'd share..

If you came to Morocco or you have been here before you get the picture.
Lots of open spaces, dry landscapes, broken glass ...etc

I've come to relate to the lyrics "Let me thread this broken ground with soles worn raw..."

Still one of the most beautiful countries in the world .

So beyond the curse of being here without a budget, and the fu**ed up events that led to the cancellation - there is a sense of bliss in threading the Moroccan ground.....

+ now we are entitled to hold a good alternative music festival in the heart of Marrakech !

As some of you might know already , The Alchemy Festival can no longer take place in the desert - it is now turning into a public event free of charge in the heart of the new Marrakech - Gueliz neighborhood - and

it is postponed one final time. THE FINAL LOCATION AND DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED VERY SOON here on Facebook - as the site is without a webmaster at the moment.

WE HAVE JUST CREATED A NEW MAILBOX FOR THE REFUNDS AND COMPLAINTS - to hear everyone personally and treat each case with a special care :

First, we want to get in touch with all the people who bought their tickets - and let them know how the full refunds will be made.

Also, we want to make a well owed gesture to the attendees who bought some very expensive airplane tickets - for instance we have a fan from Brazil who is / was coming all the way .

You can send your complaints - threats - lawsuits - insults to that address and get a personal response within days or less.

Hopefully someday all will be in full knowledge of what was ( and still is ) at stake in this project which we are never going to abandon.
