We are SO grateful and excited for this weekend's event! The biggest THANK YOU to the Continuity of Care for all the hard work, planning, organization, and effort you've done for this beautiful experience!

A very special thank you to our Puttin' on the Glitz 2026 Fundraiser Event Committee! 💃

This milestone did not happen by accident. It is the result of countless hours of teamwork, dedication, creativity, follow-ups, phone calls, meetings, ticket sales, sponsorships, basket collections, and so many behind-the-scenes details that most people will never see.

Thank you for investing your time, energy, talents, connections, and hearts into making this event possible. Every member of this committee has played an important role, and every contribution has helped bring us to this moment.

Most importantly, thank you for never losing sight of why we do this—to make a meaningful difference for YAYAS of Citrus and the youth and young adults they serve.

Today, we remember a day that changed our nation forever.

September 11 showed us the devastating impact of loss, but it also showed us what can happen when people reach out to one another, offer safety in uncertain moments and remind those around them that they are not alone.

At YAYAS of Citrus, we believe in the importance of community, compassion and creating a place of hope for those who need it most.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who served and the families who carry their memories forward.

🏠 A shelter is still part of the vision - but helping young people can’t wait.

At YAYAS, our mission has always been about more than a building. It’s about making sure teens and young adults experiencing homelessness in our community know they are seen, supported and not alone.

From helping secure temporary housing and covering deposits to connecting young people with employment and other critical resources, YAYAS is continuing to build a stronger network of support throughout Citrus County.

We’re grateful to the Citrus County Chronicle for shining a light on the work already happening, the partnerships making it possible and the continued need in our community.

💙 Every connection matters. Every resource matters. Every young person matters.
