THE RISE OF AFRICRACY
For too long, we have repeated a promise we do not fully experience:
“All power belongs to the people.”
You have voted.
We have waited.
We have endured.
Yet between elections, the people often disappear from power.
This is not a failure of hope...it is a failure of structure.
Since 2015, I have been working quietly on a question that affects not just one nation, but a continent:
What would governance look like if it truly reflected the lived realities, cultures, and authority of African people?
Today, I introduce a name to that pursuit:
AFRICRACY.
Africracy is not noise.
It is not rebellion for its own sake.
It is not a rejection of progress.
It is a serious and deliberate attempt to rethink governance in Africa, and especially Liberia...
to move from borrowed systems to rooted systems,
from symbolic power to living power,
from periodic participation to continuous authority of the people.
Africracy asks a simple but uncomfortable question:
If power truly belongs to the people…
why can’t the people enforce it beyond the ballot?
This is only the beginning.
The full framework is still being refined with care, discipline, and responsibility.
But the conversation can no longer wait.
Africa must not only be independent...
it must be governed in a way that is true to itself.
