The leadership of Edenton Down Street Community headed by Hon. Jerome Dada Dangbuah, wishes to extend its special congratulations to Kortu Football Academy on their well-deserved promotion to 2nd Division in the Liberia Football Association (LFA) league. Kortu Football Academy (KFA) is within Block C, the sand beach junction of our beloved community and they are important part of us.

This promotion came from their tireless efforts, commitments and passion that they have shown over the years. Their achievement also reflects the supportive environment in which they function and represent our community.

On yesterday, July 27, 2026, the July 26 celebration was observed nationwide as our beloved country Mama Liberia’s Independence Day.
‎
‎In the spirit of the celebration, the leadership of the Edenton Down Street Community, headed by Hon. Jerome Dada Dangbuah, hosted a special July 26th Children’s Party for the kids in our community.
‎
‎The event did more than just put smiles on the faces of our children. It brought together kids from every corner of Edenton Down Street to play games, laugh, eat, and celebrate the freedom we enjoy as a nation. The laughter, music, and excitement in the air reminded all of us what independence truly means, unity, joy, and hope for the next generation.
‎
‎Since this leadership got to power, they have worked tirelessly to ensure that citizens of our community feel the impact of good governance. Through social programs like this, they have made sure that our community’s benefits reach the people who need them most, especially the children.
‎
‎It is our fervent prayers that the vision, compassion, and innovative of our beloved community leadership will never go unnoticed. You people have shown that true leadership is about service, and about creating spaces where every child feels valued and every family feels proud to call Edenton Down Street home.

‎During the event yesterday, citizens of Edenton Down Street Community, pledge to continue to support, cherish, and recognize the leadership efforts.

On Wednesday, the 18th of February 2026, we had a representation from Public Work Ministry who came to do a survey for both drainage system and the roads within the community. The attention of the ministry was drew in when Chairman Dangbuah observed the hazardous impact of flooding within the community during the rainy season and decided to send a communication for a quick intervention to the Ministry of Public Work.

After they listen to the cry of Hon. Dangbuah for his people, Hon. Giddings, Minister of Public Work phoned Chairman Dangbuah and gave him the assurance of his intervention firstly by sending a representative to do an assessment.

Thanks to Hon. Jerome D. Dangbuah and his team for the efforts towards our community.

The Edenton Down Street Community, Caldwell Township, Montserrado Co. regrets the death of Mr. D. Nimely Jappah.

This sad accident occurred early this morning at the John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) referral Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Jappah once served as Chairman of Ways, Means and Finance Committee under the Leadership of Chairman James Briggs. His remains have since been deposited at the Maureen Capehart pending funeral arrangements.

The leadership regrets this unfortunate situation and would like to extend profound condolences to Mrs. Salome Jappah and his beloved daughter, Hannah Jappah.

First and foremost, we are grateful to God Almighty for his countless blessings and protection on the leadership and people of our beloved community. God has been so great to us and we are grateful to him. It is not all about money, education, nor power but by his special grace we are where we are today.

However, we extend our profound thanks and appreciation to the leadership of our community headed by Hon. Jerome Dada Dangbuah for their support to the people of the community. This vision of impacting knowledge into our young people will be remember in the chronicles of the community.

Thanks to the education committee chair Hon. Alfred Flomo and his team for their efforts in the just ended vacation classes for our kids. From the beginning of this initiative to the end they have shown a high level of being persistences, dedication, zealousness and passion in impacting knowledge in the minds of our children and we wholeheartedly appreciate them for that.

To the youth chair/principal Hon. Anderson Pajibo and his team of officers, we appreciate you guys for the commitment, vision, dedication, and development that you have brought to the youthful generation of this community. This vision have made a great handmark and it also set a stage for greater high. It is our prayer that you will be inspire to do more for your young people.

This project was initiated to prepare our kids for next school year. When we did our survey, we observed there were lots of young kids who were just moving around freely within the community during the vacation break so, the leadership though it wise to create such program to reduce the free movement of them by opening the vacation school. This program was awesome, the parents and children were well pleased and grateful to the community leadership for such a unique program. The leadership took the responsibility to feed the young people everyday inorder to get their attention to their lessons.

However, we also extend our profound thanks to Hon. James B Chenoweth Ware for his turnup yesterday at the closing program. Our kids were motivated by him. One thing he said to them was, if you will want to be a good leader in the future then you have to put your time to your education and commit yourself to God for directions. Thanks to you Hon. Co-chair for that powerful massage.

Thanks to the elders advisory board of our community for their commitment in advising the community leadership to do more great things for it's people.

Moreover, we also encourage all to working with togetherness for a better tomorrow. You're love!

Great initiative.

On today, the youth leadership was able to install one bundle of zinc on the shade wing of the St. Peter Sport Pitch, Edenton Down Street Community, Caldwell Township, Montserrado Co. Thanks to Hon. Capehart for his support and we appreciate you so kindly.

Thanks to Hon. Jerome Dada Dangbuah for his support, we also grateful to him. Thanks to Hon. Anderson Pajibo and his team for their high level of innovation and dedication towards the growth and development of the youth of our community.
