The National Center for the Coordination of Response Mechanism (NCCRM) on Friday, January 23, 2026, convened a high-level stakeholdersβ meeting to validate its Five-Year Strategic Plan, a critical roadmap intended to strengthen national coordination, preparedness, and response mechanisms.
The validation meeting brought together representatives of the NCCRM Board, the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Peace Building Office (PBO), and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, alongside senior management and technical staff of the NCCRM.
During the engagement, stakeholders reviewed the draft 91-page strategic plan and provided preliminary observations aimed at improving the documentβs clarity, coherence, and strategic focus. Participants emphasized the importance of a thorough review process and were encouraged to further examine the document in detail to generate more comprehensive and actionable inputs ahead of final adoption.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on next steps, including the incorporation of stakeholdersβ recommendations. It was also agreed that the official launch of the NCCRM Five-Year Strategic Plan will take place between January 27 and 29, 2026.
The NCCRM reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive planning, institutional transparency, and inter-agency collaboration as key pillars for effective national response coordination.
