PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT🚨🚮⚠️⚠️

ATTENTION ALL BUSINESS OWNERS, FOOD VENDORS, AND ENTERTAINMENT ESTABLISHMENTS

The Sanitation Department wishes to inform the general public and the business community that a continuous Sanitation & Health Inspection Exercise will officially commence tomorrow September 4,2026 and remain in effect moving forward.

This exercise applies strictly to all commercial operations, including:

Cook shops and food centers

Restaurants, bakeries, and cafeterias

Bars, clubs, and entertainment centers

General retail shops and commercial premises

ENFORCEMENT NOTICE:

Because our health comes first, and sanitation is our top concern, inspection teams will be actively monitoring all premises. Any business found in violation of public health standards or failing to maintain proper sanitary conditions will be shut down and locked immediately.

Mandatory Requirements for All Operators:

Maintain strict, daily cleanliness inside and around your premises.

Ensure proper waste storage and regular safe disposal.

Enforce hygiene standards for all food handlers and staff.

Grant inspection officers immediate access for evaluations.

Avoid closure by ensuring your business is fully compliant starting tomorrow.

​JOHNSONVILLE, MONTSERRADO COUNTY SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 - The claims circulating about the Fire Service Substation under construction in Johnsonville are misleading and have exaggerated the project’s cost without credible evidence.

​If anyone genuinely wants the exact amount involved, they can contact the Office of the Commissioner of Johnsonville, which is supervising the project.

​Accountability is important, but it must be based on facts, honesty, and verification. Publishing allegations without naming sources, stakeholders, or providing evidence only exposes the story as propaganda rather than responsible journalism.

​The public deserves facts, not misinformation.

​Hon. Sekou S. Kanneh remains focused and undisturbed, but those who are living in conjecture and gossip should come up with facts. This project is initiated and funded by the lawmaker—not any funding from the District funds, not even THE NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE.
